We rule out anything that risks feeling like a gimmick,&#8221; Farrelly explained.</p><p>Last night, Move was announced as the proper name for the PlayStation motion controller after months of speculation. It&#8217;s was announced that it uses a combination of wand-style controlling devices and the PlayStation Eye camera to track movement. Because <a href="http://www.gamercenteronline.net/tag/sony/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Sony">Sony</a> have announced that Zipper&#8217;s developing the series&#8217; next installment, <em><a href="http://www.gamercenteronline.net/tag/socom-4/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with SOCOM 4">SOCOM 4</a></em>.</p><p>According to the <a href="http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/03/04/lock-and-load-announcing-the-new-socom/">PlayStation Europe Blog</a>, the game takes place within South East Asia, where &#8220;a revolutionary army has seized control of a country bordering one of the world’s most vital waterways; threatening to disrupt the global economy.&#8221; Players will assume the role of the commander of a five-man squad of NATO commandos dispatched to prevent international trade from being disrupted. Their mission will only last six days, a time limit that Sony says will add urgency into the campaign.</p><p>As we come to expect from the series, this installment will have an extensive multiplayer component, allowing for 32-player matches. That said, Zipper Interactive are aiming for a fall released date, revealed community manager, Jeremy Dunham <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/03/socom-4-its-official/comment-page-4/#comment-348515">when responding to a fans question</a>. &#8220;Yep.
