As speculated, Microsoft has unveiled a smaller, sleeker version of the Xbox 360, packing a 250GB hard drive and built-in wi-fi. And, according to Microsoft’s Don Mattrick, it will be hitting retail by the end of this week — priced at $299. Below are the specs:

Despite having previously stated that trilogy’s exclusiveness is “in the question”, the Mass Effect series lead project director, Casey Hudson revealed that the trilogy, just like how it started, will finish on Microsoft’s platform. When questioned about the trilogy going multi-platform, Hudson had a couple of choice words:

“You get the Xbox 360 or your PC, but the Xbox 360 is the one that’s going to run out of time at some point, and you create your character and play through an entire trilogy on that platform,” Hudson told GameZone.

As early last week, Hudson did revealed that he’s expecting a “short turnaround” with the development of third installment into the trilogy, meaning that after the release of Mass Effect 2, development should begin shortly after. Be that as it may, this news still confirms a multi-platform Mass Effect 3; it doesn’t detract from there being one.

Much like what we’ve seen with Dead Space, a survival horror title, Dante’s Inferno, a game based on a “definitive view of the afterlife”, will be getting the animated treatment in the form of a animated feature; this is no new announcement, Electronic Arts announced the animated feature along time ago, however, this is the first trailer.

Tracking Dante’s decent into hell, the upcoming animated feature follows his pursuit to retain the soul of his beloved, Beatrice. In which, Dante encounters “many gruesome forms of evil” that dwell within circles of hell. This animated feature will release in February 2010, the same month that Dante’s Inferno is unleashed upon the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Sony PSP. Enjoy the very entertaining trailer.

THQ today announced Metro 2033: The Last Refuge, a new first person shooter for Xbox 360 and PC, which is based on the best-selling Russian novel of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky. Developed by 4A Games, and built with the cutting edge, proprietary 4A Game Engine, Metro 2033 is set to deliver a gripping, atmospheric experience when it releases in 2010.

“Metro 2033 will plunge gamers into a terrifying vision of the future,” said Richard Williams, vice president of global brand management, THQ. “4A Games have worked closely with Dmitry Glukhovsky to deliver a unique game world, a compelling, cinematic story and an incredible, atmospheric experience to rival anything in the category.”

Metro 2033 is scheduled for release in early 2010 for the Xbox 360, and PC, which supports NVIDIA PhysX technology.

The upcoming month of October is loaded with potentially excellent titles, one of those titles, absolutely, being Codemasters‘ Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. However, little is known about the games Multiplayer component, until know.

In a report posted by The Lost Gamer, it revealed that the entire campaign can be played cooperatively; you can enlist “up to three other online Marines and take on the opposition.” Each mission can be played with a different fire team so don’t worry about leading one team through the entire campaign, which is a plus – if there’s quitters.

Dragon Rising is home also to a PVP (Player Vs Player) system. In this mode, you can set yourself up with three AI controlled Marines and go head to head against a friend or foe. The game also features two other modes of play called Annihilation and Infiltration, which will see you and your merry band of soldiers engage in the ultimate wargame across Skira Island.

Annihilation will see both teams start at either end of the battlefield with the ultimate arsenal of weaponry at their disposal and then its a fight to the death with the winning team being the last man standing. Infiltration on the other hand will see one team holding a location on the map whilst the other team will take on the role of a covert Special Forces squad and its their job to take over the location. Dragon Rising releases on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 6th.

Increasing the presents of the game, Rockstar revealed a new character that will be featured in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, Tony “Gay Tony” Prince – who is obviously a main character in the game – via a trailer.

The exclusive 360 episode, Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, will put players in the role of Luis Lopez, as his part-time hoodlum duties are supplemented by full-time work for nightclub impresario Tony “Gay Tony” Prince. The Ballad of Gay Tony will release on Xbox LIVE this October for $19.99 or 1600 MS points and requires players to have Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE membership to download.

With its anticipated release next month, fans have been waiting for a chance to finally see The Ballad of Gay Tony in action ever since it was announced back in May. That’s why Rockstar has announced today that they’ll doing exactly that, and have released the first ever trailer for The Ballad Of Gay Tony, “You’ll Always Be The King Of This Town”.

The Ballad of Gay Tony will release on Xbox LIVE this October for $19.99 or 1600 MS points and requires players to have Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE membership to download.

Capcom has announced its plans to release an affordable collaboration of three of Capcom’s greatest games that have ever released on the 360 entitled the Platinum Hits Triple Pack.

The Platinum Hits Triple Pack combines Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition – Colonies Edition, and Devil May Cry 4 all in one box. Each of which has been awarded Platinum Hits “Best Seller” status and together have sold over 3 million units in North America alone.

This pack has the sole propose of giving any gamer that haven’t had the chance to play these titles the chance to redeem themselves for a great low price of 39.99. However, we all know that the real reason is that Capcom has too many copies of these games in stock. But, anyway you put it everyone wins.

As reported by so many sources stating that Gearbox maybe working on the next Halo project, which was unofficially titled Halo 4. It seems that you may scratch Gearbox off the list of developers that are making the next Halo title because on the official twitter account for Halo Waypoint, it confirmed that the developer is not involved in any upcoming Halo projects.

“For the record, Gearbox is NOT working on a Halo title for Microsoft,” the twitter feed read.

Microsoft was e-mail by IGN to confirmed this.

Recently revealed that its 360′s development began in April, its developer, Square Enix, have stated that the 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII has “no chance” of compromising with the PlayStation 3 version of the title.

When speaking to VideoGamer, XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase had this to say about the compromises between the two versions of Final Fantasy XIII.

“The team is targeting to create an equal experience on both the 360 and the PS3, so there are no limitations. For example, right now we’re working on the PS3 version first, and once we’ve completed that we’ll really know how much game there will be to fit onto the Xbox 360 discs,” said Kitase.

“So we don’t know how many discs it’ll be housed on for 360, but there won’t be a chance that we’ll compromise anything because, oh it didn’t fit in the 360 discs so we’ll have to take it out of the PS3 version, or vice versa.”

The sales reports are in, making it clear that UFC 2009 Undisputed is May’s undisputed champion selling a total of 1,014,000 within May alone.

The title moved in 679,600 copies on the Xbox 360, 334,400 on the PlayStation 3, meaning that it overcame Nintendo’s donating Wii Fit by almost tripling its score putting it in second place. It also pwned EA’s, EA Sports Active putting it in third place.

In May hardware sales, revenue came in at $302.5 million, a 30 percent decline while software was off 17 percent at $448.9 million. “This is the first month that industry sales have dipped below $1 billion since August 2007,” NPD analyst Anita Frazier said in an email.

King of Fighters XII’s online play is run through a lobby system. Two players will fight it out while up to six other players wait in line for their turn. While they’re waiting, they can chat via voice or text. Depending on the lobby’s settings, the winner or loser of the match will continue playing. You can also randomize the match-ups if you wish.

The latest addition into downloadable content infantry that is Burnout Paradise, Big Surf Island, will arrive on Xbox Live and PSN on June 11th – revealed in a spiffy new trailer for the game.

Today, at the Xbox 360 Spring Press Conference in Tokyo, Yoshihisa Kanesaka of Namco Bandai took the stage to revealed their upcoming game, Magna Carta 2 – which is only releasing on the 360.

Along with the reveal of the game, he also showed the first game play for the game (located below). Magna Carta 2 is expected to release in Japan on 8/6/2009, and Japanese pre-order-ers will get a special visual book for doing so.

However, no word has been given on if we’re going to see an American release, but it’s likely that we are going to be getting one.

In the shadow of the Lost Planet sequel announcement, Capcoms exec Keiji Inafune also mentioned to Famitsu that they are also currently working on a Dead Rising sequel.

According to Inafune, “We’re finally putting out new Dead Rising and Lost Planet games! As a main principle we’re thinking about multi-platform, and expanding upon both slightly from the Xbox 360 version.”

But, sadly, in has statements in that interview he didn’t go into details on if the Dead Rising sequel would Multiplatform. And if you don’t remember, in their shareholders it said that most of their games are going to be Multiplatform, but lets wait and see want the future holds.

One of the best third person shooters in history, Resident Evil, is just about ready to make its nex-gen debut, but before it can, all of the lucky Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be, one of the many, to get a chance to sample the game.

Today, Capcom has announced that the ‘Resident Evil 5′ demo will be making a landing on Xbox Live Market Place exclusively.

The next installment of the landmark survival horror franchise from Capcom will take action to a new level with a two-level, playable demo available exclusively on Xbox 360 for one week beginning Monday, January 26. After that, we assume the following Thursday, the PlayStation 3 will have its turn.

In Addition, to the exclusive demo, a new exclusive high-definition trailer of the game, shown only at the past Tokyo Game Show in October of 2008, will be made available for download on the Xbox LIVE service on Friday, Jan. 16.

Xbox 360 gamers will also be first to take on the new enemies in battle, including an army of weapon-wielding infected Majini, the gigantic hooded Majini Executioner and even the dreaded Chainsaw Majini. Players can also choose between the classic ‘Resident Evil’-style controls or switch to the newer ‘Action’ controls inspired by games like ‘Gears of War 2′ and ‘Halo 3′.

A developer that’s best known for their hit car crashing series, once developed a shooter game that was more then amazing to look at, it was amazing to play, and the game was simply entitled, Black. And in recent reports it was indicated that Black would be getting a sequel.

And now, however, it seems that the game would not be seeing a Sequel, at least not anytime soon. According to VG247, a very “well-informed source” confirmed that the reports of a Black follow-up are “not true”.

This news comes after a reports that on the Criterion games website there was a listing stating a game for a release in 2009 on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC known as Black: Second Mission.

Apparently, Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 has just about everything you could want in a fighting game, including Inferno Matches, improved tag team battles and even a Create-A-Finisher mode. But, with even all those features, and an amazing list of over sixty playable characters, many of us, sadly, are still left wanting more.

Once again, this years show just keeps on surprising me, but one thing that didn’t surprise was the trailer GTA IV: The Lost And Damned, because I already knew that it was coming. Anyway, the trailer really did show a new side of the GTA seires, but it did find away to keep its style. But, I’m not going to say that I’m completely happy with the trailer, but man was it a great showing.

Remember the “three red lights of death” issue? Well, how can you forget, and it looks like many of us maybe in for some “three red lights” with the upcoming update for the 360. A trusted source working as a customer service rep for Microsoft has revealed to Gaming Confidential that there will be some “drama” when the Xbox 360′s Fall update hits on November 19th. The rep says that the update could bring the dreaded “three red lights of death” issue back up.

“The slick move by Microsoft here is that it’s releasing the update on the 19th, just a couple of days after the extended warranty period for launch Xbox 360s end. The owners of these units are headed for some pretty tense times in the weeks to come,” he said. “Our department is bracing itself from irrate callers after the update is released. I’m bringing some aspirin to work this holiday season,”.

It’s clear now that plenty of gamers still have plenty of time, even with the so many games coming out, to stop an appreciate a good game. The game that many of us are still to beat, Fallout 3, has ships approximately 4.7 million units worldwide, which reflects the games huge consumer demand. The game officially went worldwide last week and according to Bethesda Softworks the game has made $300 million in retail sales.

For example, in the United Kingdom where it was not released until Friday, October 31 the rapid sales of Fallout 3 have led the game to be ranked number one among all video games, as well as being the number one game on each of its three platforms.

The successful launch of Fallout 3 by Bethesda Softworks follows the success of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which remains one of the highest scoring games ever published and earned “Game of the Year” honors in 2006.

Guess what? It’s what you’ve been waiting for. Jimi Hendrix will now have downloadable content for Guitar Hero: World Tour. After announcing the news before the games release, the rock legend will now have a set of three songs coming out on November 13th. To be more specific the DLC will contain the songs If 6 was 9, Little Wing, and a live version of fire. The content will be available for 440 Microsoft points on Xbox Live Marketplace and $5.49 on the PlayStation Store. If music fans can not afford the DLC, the following week on November 20th. There will be another trio of songs by the band called “The Raconteurs”. The songs Salute your Solution, Hold Up, and Console of the lonely. These three songs can be purchased separately on XBL for 160 MP each, $1.99 each on the PSN also on the Wii Store for 200 Wii points each, the game is now out on all three next gen consoles.

Microsoft has shipped 22.5m Xbox 360s through September 2008 and should pass the totals of the original Xbox, which shipped 24.7m worldwide, next quarter. This was revealed in Microsoft’s updated system results earlier today for the Xbox 360, the company is reporting that they shipped 2.2m consoles from July 1 to Sept 30 bringing the total number to 22.5m shipped since launch.

For Microsoft, Q1, Q5, and Q9 are the quarters ending December. Given that Q1 was the supply constrained launch in 2005, and that the original Xbox only shipped 24.7m units worldwide, the Xbox 360 should top its predecessor next quarter.

Today, we have gained news that WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 has achieved “Platinum Hits” status for the Xbox 360. The game originally launched in November of 2007 and is now available for the suggested retail price of $30.

“Attaining ‘Platinum Hits’ for the Xbox 360 demonstrates the long-standing dedication of our fans to this tremendous franchise,” said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president, publishing, THQ. “This accolade comes at an opportune time as we march toward the much-anticipated North American release of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 across all major gaming platforms, including mobile devices, on November 9.”

Polygamia have gotten their hands on the English version of Fable II and they were nice enough to provide us with a short ten min video of the first ten minutes of “thy” Fable II. We all know why Gears of War 2 wouldn’t be coming to the PC, not that any of us really care right now, but do you want would make Gears of War 2 more fun? What if you had the chance had the chance to show some Freshmen to the game how to live it up like Seniors to the game. We know that you have been barraged by the Gears of War 2 news today, but this rumor was just to good to past up.

According to a post on the Evil Avatar forums, Gridlock, Subway, Canals, Mansion, and Tyro Station will be available to download off Xbox Live Market Place the day that the is release. But, here’s where they get you. It will only be available for people who purchase a new copy of the game.

Well you cannot have the everything you want. In the word from Doug Lombardi and Gabe Newell, PS3 owners will not be part of the update that pc user are now enjoying. 1UP have now confirmed with valve, that the update will not see daylight on the PS3 which is coming later to the Xbox 360 this year.But the question remains why ? Perhaps  they have no manpower of any kind to take on the PS3. With EA ”not doing ongoing development on The Orange Box” on the PS3 port. While this is always disappointing news can this or will it happen in the future leaving Sony gamers in the cloudy dust of no updates.

[Team Fortress 2 Updates Not Coming For PlayStation 3 1UP]

What makes you buy a video game system? Is it the system itself or is it the platform exclusives? Looks like Capcom will no longer be willing to make anymore platform exclusives for all three of the system that are right now out on the market. This report comes from the company’s fiscal year 2008 report, which states that “All major titles launched during the next fiscal year or thereafter will be developed as multi-platform games,”. This comes as no surprise because many games are being dropped off for the multi-platform name like Final Fantasy XIII, which was originally planned for the PlayStation 3, but is now also coming to the Xbox 360, and now to see as a video game company make that change it’s really makes the questions I asked at the begin of this article harder to answer.

But, as a company Capcom will be making more money using multi-platform games to build there company, money-wise. Here’s what Capcom has to say about that “We will aim to increase revenue and dramatically increase the number of users by launching, for example, Resident Evil 5 … Street Fighter IV … and Bionic Commando [on multiple platforms].” It already looks like Capcoms plan may already be in actions because much of there nex-gen games are already get the multi-platform taste.

Not so long ago we received news that a Left 4 Dead demo was on it’s way for the Xbox 360 and still we are yet to gain details on the game until now… According to Video Gamer, Gabe Newell, managing director and co-founder of Valve, told them at the Leipzig Games Convention some important details for the Left 4 Dead demo. Newell told them that the Left 4 Dead demo will include the first part of one of the four campaign ‘movies’, most likely The Hospital level that was demonstrated to the press. He also revealed that the demo will home online cooperative play as well as single-player, but he wasn’t able to reveal the release date for the demo.

“We will be releasing demos for both the Xbox and for the PC. I don’t know what the date is for release on that, though. I think it’s going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it’ll probably be Hospital but I’m not sure. That’s a decision that Doug Lombardi is making.” said Newell. Left 4 Dead is due out for PC and Xbox 360 on November 21 2008.

Well maybe they should have just delayed the game all together. According to an article by Gamekyo, Atari has announced that the delayed PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark is “undergo improvements”. The improvements will be in terms of gameplay, the games other version really didn’t do good gameplay-wise. If you didn’t know the recently released version of Alone in the Dark for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii didn’t get nice review from many online journalist getting mostly 3′s and 5′s. We have yet to review this game mostly because we have yet to beat the game or even buy it.

Let’s say you really want to play Gears of War 2, but due to the fact that it is plagued filled with hardcore violence some people may take an offensive. But, as you know, the people at Epic Games are smart and they where kind enough to help all it’s Gears fans out with this issues. MCV revealed today that, the same non-violence feature that was in the first Gears, will be placed in Gears of War 2. This feature will basically removed all violence from the game that will appeal to a younger audience. Also adding to the fact that when this feature is activated blood will become sparks and all swear words will be turned into mild curse words. Gears of War 2 will be released for the Xbox 360 on November 7th and will ship with all it’s parental controls out of the box.

Last week, rumors around the web started circulating that a PS3 version of Left 4 Dead is in development. Apparently that’s not the case, as a Valve spokesperson told CVG “There’s no PS3 version currently in production.” If you are a PC gamer and 360 owner you should rejoice. Valve is still developing the 360 and PC versions of the of the game.

Marketing man Doug Lombardi told CVG earlier this year, “We’re not PS3 developers – we’re doing PC and 360 like with Orange Box. EA came to us and said ‘Wow, Orange Box was an incredible project, can we do a PS3 version?’

“Left 4 Dead doesn’t have that guaranteed appeal yet – it’s a new IP,” Lombardi explained. “If you mention a new Half-Life, people want to make as many versions of it as possible. If Left 4 Dead is big, then we may see a PS3 version later, or if and when we do a sequel, people may be more interested in that.”

Dead Rising on the 360 was one of the first games to feature a few hundred enemies on screen, which was a surprise for all 360 owners. Now, Capcom wants to put that same surprise in the Wii version of the game, Capcom told Nintendo Power Mag that their main objective for the game is to reach the 100 enemies on screen mark. Which just happens to be less impressive than then what they had set for Micorsoft’s Xbox 360, but it’s for the Wii it’s a large number.

Fallout 3 is still yet to hit stores and news is already began circulating that Fallout 4 is already in the minds of the people over at Bethesda. Speaking interview with TotalVideoGames, Bethesda Games, Pete Hines, told them that they have further plans beyond this year’s hugely anticipated title. “The whole reason we went out and acquired the license and that we now own Fallout is that we clearly intended to make more than one,” claimed Hines.

“This is not something we’re going to do once and then go away and never do it again,” said Hines adding, “when that will be or how long that will be god only knows, but we acquired it specifically because we wanted to own it and develop it and work on it like we do with The Elder Scrolls.”

Absent from the recent E3 line-up, Electronic Arts announced that it’s upcoming game Tiberium, a FPS based in the universe of Command & Conquer, has been delayed until its 2010 fiscal year. That is provided that the basic plan for making the game goes well, Tiberuim is planned, as of now, for a April 2009 thought out March 2010 release date. The game is planned for a release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, there’s was no cited by Electronic Arts for the delay. The game was originally planned for a, well we don’t really think there was an official release date, but we do think it was planned for a early 09 release date.

A rumor has been going around the net that Xbox Live is going free for select games until fall. Apparently that rumor was true. According to a updated post by Shacknews, Microsoft has informed them that Xbox 360/Games for Windows silver members will limited free multiplayer access.

Here’s what a MS rep had to say “For a limited time, we are offering free online multiplayer on Xbox 360/Games for Windows titles that offer LIVE cross platform play,” a representative explained. “This promotion won’t last, so we encourage everyone to take advantage of it while they can.”

The representative concluded that, “When the new Xbox experience launches this fall all multiplayer gaming on Xbox 360 will be for Gold members only.” As the original rumor stated the only games that will feature this limited free online play are Universe at War, Shadowrun and Lost Planet: Colonies Edition.

Bohemia Interactive released a new screenshot for there upcoming military simulation game, which will be released sometime this year and is currently in development for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3. While very few details have been released on the game it does have a very strong reputation on the PC, as a game that pushes the maximum realism and putting the player in the middle of true action, like the Call Of Duty franchise. The last time we heard from the game was at the Games Convention in Leipzig 2007, there is a strong chance that there will be word at this years event. Armed Assault 2 will be set in the year 2009.

Armed 2 is based on the latest generation technology, offering large –scale game world, authentic and extremely detailed modern units, weapons, vehicles and enviroments, challenging single player and vast arrays of multiplayer options.

In a scan from a Japanese magazine revealed that Star War’s R2-D2 will be a playable character in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV, which will release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on July 29.

At this time we are not sure if this is a console specific character that will be added to the game seeing the Xbox and PlayStation are very different from each other featuring two different character’s from the Star War’s Universe.

At Microsoft’s E3 press conference earlier this week, Microsoft unveiled avatars for the Xbox 360. The avatars are said to have a resemblance to Nintendo’s Miis for the Nintendo Wii. In an set down with IGN, Miyamoto sound very flattered that Microsoft would adapt something like the Nintendo’s Miis to their 360.

Here’s what he had to say about the Xbox 360 avatars “To see that a company like Microsoft has taken something we’ve done and kind of looked at it in a way and brought it out on their platform to kind of show that we’ve done has become the standard, I find quite flattering.”

With all the “chaos” on the web right now it’s good to finally see a trailer for the newest Ubisoft game, I Am Alive . In there shows someone running away from some guys who need water. Today, Activision and Microsoft announced the highly anticipated Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 for Xbox Live Arcade. Today, maybe all about Microsoft but, that can’t stop Nintendo at all. We got news that Nintendo is set to present a new accessory, in detail, for improving the performance of its Wiimote. They call the accessory the Wii MotionPlus, which is set to provide the response time of 1:1, which happens to be an instant.

This is not a rumor at all. Today at E3, Yoichi Wada announced that Final Fantasy XIII will be coming to the the Xbox 360. How about them apples, looks like it’s almost time to turn in my PlayStation 3 after this showing there’s no need for me to see more.

Today, Sega revealed a new trailer for that very game, in the trailer it showcases were sonic or werehog  in action around the city. A very interesting listing has popped up on the official Entertainment Software Rating Board website. According to the listing, Rachet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty will be rated E10+, the game was an open secret which was revealed by PS3Fanboy . There was many signs which pointed to the game of being a PSN download, but yet it’s still unclear whether this will just an add-on to Ratchet & Clank Future or if it’s a game by it’s self.

Insomniac Games have revealed some new information on their upcoming first person shooter, Resistance 2. Basically they said that while creating the new big monster, named Leviathan, they had to think about the surrounding areas and extend the range that the engine displays. Levels are now much bigger and in scope and draw space compared to Resistance: Fall of Man.

There’s going to be new content shown at E3 that they’ve never shown before and will show 60 players online multiplayer for the first time. When they show the 60 player online mode, the players will be employee’s from both Sony and Insomniac Games from their offices, they are going to do this so they can get the numbers online.

Insomniac Games says that what you’ve already seen of Resistance 2, when the full game is released it will look a lot better.

Cinematics are starting to be finalised and look really good. They answered a question they get asked a lot and that is; how do they do their cinematics? They build the enviroments and go down to the motion capture studios, get all the actors they need and basically act out the scene in physical space thats approximated from the enviroments they created.

Once captured they hand it over to the animators back at the Insomniac Games studio, animate their faces and hands so it works in the game. After that they add effects, enviromental effects, sound effects and export those frame by frame to make them into MPEGS, the reason they do it in MPEGS is for level load coverage. The cinematics are from the games engine but captured in MPEGs for level load coverage. To make this sound a bit simpler, it WAS in-game but is captured at the end of the day and is used as an MPEG to cover the levels loading.

Aerosmith, possibly one of the biggest bands in the 1970′s, have teamed up with Activision to create the next installment of the Guitar Hero franchise. Unfortunately Guitar Hero is starting to suffer from the Tony Hawk syndrome and by that I mean that Activision might start running the franchise into the ground. They will just produce the games to get the money because people will buy them and not care what is in it, just look at the title and buy it. This title is the second in that series with Guitar Hero 80′s being the first. It’s just something to put out to get some units sold quick until the next installment comes out this fall.

The career spans 31 songs, with each set of five comprised of three songs by the Aerosmith and two by other bands. As well as unlockable songs spanning the list to about 40 tracks in total. I am a fan of Aerosmith and the set list is not quite what I would have expected for this title. It seems that hardcore fans and possibly your parents may be the only one’s that find this setlist appealing. The set list consists of a lot of classic titles from the 70′s such as "Train Kept A Rollin", "Mamma Kin" and "Toys In The Attic" with other hits that have made the radio up until the album Nine Lives. But some of the songs were remade for this game, changing some of the impact that the songs may have had. "Dream On" is a prime example of this. I would have much rather of had the original recording of the song than a remade version. While this does have smash hits from the guys, Some songs are missing that I think should have made the cut. Where is "Dude Looks Like A Lady","Cryin"."Same Old Song And Dance","Big Ten Inch Record","Falling In Love (is so hard on the knees)" ,"Janie’s Got A Gun", and finally "I Dont Want To Miss A Thing". All great songs I thought should of been included into this set list but for some reason couldnt make the cut.The character models of the band members are a nice addition to the game, but that is about it as far as new content. The game doesn’t offer up much else from the last release, the game plays the same and uses all the same features from before, the visuals are nice and the character models seem to have had a small update but thats about it.

If you’re looking for something new to play with your Fischer price guitars, then of course you can pick this title up. But if you are not a fan of Aerosmith than you can put those hard earned pennies in your piggy bank for the 4th installment of the series this fall. Especially since you wont be able to download any content at all for this title no further hope for extra songs should be had. This title should have just been a download pack instead of a $60 waste pack. Just picked all the big hits from this game and just made them available for download for like $10-$15 dollars. At least then I could have gone back to playing the songs I loved on Guitar Hero III.

This could just be another rumor that some fabricated, considering that the only reference is the classic "inside source" or in this case "inside man." But, then there is the fact that they have the info to back it up.

According to a post on the TheAngryPixel blog, an "inside man" told them that Dhruva Interactive has been hard at work, working on Forza 3. According to a rumor posted on the SarcasticGamer website, the voice of Sam Fisher will not be making his return in latest Splinter Cell installment. Sam Fisher was voiced by Michael Ironside, and it seems that an internal dispute is paving the way for a new voice talent in coming Splinter Cell games. According to inside sources at Ubisoft, Ironside and Ubisoft have been at odds for some time:

"He was getting to way too egotistical about the project and extremely difficult to work with. He was also asking for a sh*t load of money… He pretty much tied his own noose."

No official reply from Ubisoft on this matter, but that’s probably because Conviction remains very much up in the air.

KOEI have announced today that Fatal Inertia EX will be hitting the PLAYSTATION Network on Thursday, June 19th. While the game was  supposed to hit PSN last month, but due to something technical it was delayed . It will be available on the store for $29.99 along with a demo for people who would like to give this game a try.

Today Eden Games officially announced that the development for the fifth installment survival horror video game series under the same name created by Infogrames. Namco Bandai  has revealed new screenshots of there newest character for Soulcalibur IV, Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice. The Secret Apprentice will join other character from the star wars like Yoda and Darth Vader in the upcoming Soulcalibur game. You will be able to play as the Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice on the PS3, Xbox 360, PSP, PS2, Nintendo DS and Wii.

Today Sierra Entertainment released a new video for there upcoming real-time tactical video game World in Conflict: Soviet Assault for the PS3 and Xbox 360.This game was released for the PC back in 2007 and this game is due on retail stores in Fall 2008.This video made up of real in-game footage plays nice self suding music with live in-game sound.

To many gamers Code Monkeys is known as the first show to represent the gaming as a whole. Unless your a self-closed person who has not watched G4, devoted to the world of video games and the video game lifestyle, you haven’t been exposed to Code Monkeys which is bad. This South Park and 8-bit Mario style show is pure gaming genius.

For those who never seen the show, June 1′s second-season premiere can’t come with perfect timing Code Monkeys takes place at GameaVision, an ’80s company that makes Atari 2600-type games with 8-bit point-and-click design.

The humor in Code Monkeys is mostly grounded in toilet humor and black comedy, but some of the show’s jokes stem from its numerous references to 1980s video games, including Castlevania , Mega Man , Contra , Ikari Warriors , Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! , Super Mario Bros. and others. With blood, puke, drug use and more sexual innuendo than you can shake at.

The main plot of this of this episode takes place when the company loses they insurance by there provider  and each character must submit a psychiatric evaluation. Which allowed every employee to show there inner-self to a very cool evaluator with all this going on Todd a Flavor flav horned helmet wearing 33-year old nerd is giving the chance to create is own game with the others see this they turn is game into something but hilarious. The second season of Code Monkeys premieres at 7 p.m. ET/PT June 1 on G4.

Announced for November 2008 by Microsoft, today we can assure you that Gears of War 2 leaves precisely to Europe on 17 of November. Also if you can’t wait to get your hands on Microsoft Games Too Human in Europe, you’ll be getting your hands on the game in current August, August 2008.

As of now there is no official North American release date for Gears of War 2  but it’s rumored for a November 16 release window .

Microsoft has sent out the official details on the Gears of War re-release, the re-release is due out on June 24 for $39.

In addition to a new price tag, an updated two-disc retail version of "Gears of War" (Xbox 360) will arrive in the U.S. and Canada beginning June 24. The two-disc version includes previously released multiplayer map packs, the Annex game mode, and the ability to earn up to eight additional multiplayer Achievements worth 250 Gamerscore. EA has told IGN that the Veteran Map Pack for the PlayStation 3 version of Army of Two has been delayed in North America and the Xbox 360 owners and European PlayStation 3 owners will still be able to download the pack today, May 29th.

New scans found on the web reveals the new characters for Gears of War 2, the scans come from a Japanese magazine.

Gears of War takes place on Sera, a planet inhabited by humans, who have warred over a phosphorescent, low-viscosity fluid known as "Imulsion" highly valued as a source of energy. Over several decades, the Pendulum Wars took place between various human countries, and ended with the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) taking control of the planet.

Reports this morning tell us that THQ’s Saints Row 2 has now been delayed unlit Oct. 14 becuase of product quality and marketing considerations. The game had a previous date of August 26 but as you see there has been problems with the games marketing considerations. There has been no other information giving about the games delay at this time.

Today, Ubisoft released as a part of Ubidays a new trailer for there upcoming Prince of Persia game, the trailers provide a glimpse of the game wich would be coming onto the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this holiday season.

SEGA of America today announced that it has extended its relationship with Epic Games by signing a new Unreal Engine 3 licensing deal for an unannounced, cross-platform game. SEGA entered into its original licensing agreement to develop multiple titles with Unreal Engine 3 in May 2007. Details of the project in development will be released at a later date.

After putting the pack SSC Challenge on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last month, Electronic Arts continues to fuel Army of Two with a new Map Pack. The DLC will include two new campaigns modes, the first send Salem and Rios in a subway station where they must put an end to the activities of a mafia group, while the second puts players in the headquarters of the SSC Miami, where you are tasked with the job of dispatching Dalton.

Activision has done World War 2 and Modern Warfare now it’s time for a new type of Warfare, Futuristic Warfare. It is rumored that Call of Duty 5 will take place in the future, if this rumor ends up being true Call of Duty 5 will be joining games like Gears of War, Resistance, Killzone and Halo.

Could this mean that Activision is trying to continue to dominate the other shooting genres? Only time can tell.

According to Jeux-Video, a site reserved for press only state that Capcom’s Street Fighter 4 will be headed on the PC this winter. This means that the game will be heading on to 3 systems the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. We really don’t know why Capcom will keep some like this to themself but we have contacted them about the matter.

In a recent interview Doug Lombardi( Valve marketing vice president) revealed that this upcoming multiplayer co-operative survival horror FPS game will be coming to the PC and Xbox 360 worldwide in November 2008.

In the interview he was asked if they would have a free weekend-This would give player a chance to play the game  through Steam then have a chance to buy it- He said that "We’re kicking around a lot of ideas now and nothing’s final" but did say that there would “definitely” be a free weekend with a very possible demo.

Valve believes in quality and even though “the game is pretty much playable all the way through right now” they still want to fine tune the game to make sure that it is “approachable to players of all skills.” Doug also commented that Valve is interested in branching out into other genres such as MMOGs and family-friendly titles.

In the crazy out of control of 2048, a young Mantel soldier finds himself between what is right and what is wrong……

First, I will like to say what was Free Radical thinking when they where making this game, I mean Free Radical had a nice idea going for them here but, the game just cannot cut it. As you may already know the game takes place in the Boa Region of South America and the worlds biggest PMC, Mantel, has an army of enhanced specialized warriors who use a specialized supplement called, Nectar. And they are sent out to take out the dangerous group of rebels called The Promise Hand. In the game you happen to play as a young Mantel soldier named, Shane Carpenter, and and you soon find out that your mission is not what it appears to be, that’s where the game takes an unexpected turn. Now, Carpenter is now one of the rebels and he finds himself against some of his friends has he try’s to take out Mantel.

As I have said before "The game has a lot of promise" but, I quote from the people at IGN, "hackneyed and feeble amalgamation of concepts that the true impact or commentary that could’ve been presented in the title is immediately lost." I picked this because it’s a true, in the game UbiSoft pictures the Mantel soldiers as over hyped blood lust killers who kill because they have the lust of killing. This can be a problem because it’s hard to make a link between a blood lusted killers who are always jack up over the hype of killing. Lucky for you our friend Shane has a heart and these emotions of blood lust makes it much easier for you to make a connection with him as a person. But, sometimes you feel that he is a punk because he always talking like if he’s scared of something that’s where the game start to fall.

In every video game there somethings that makes it stand out, unfortunate for you the AI isn’t it. When playing the game we face some very serious issues with the AI, like if you are in the middle of battle (Only when you are on the side of the Promise Hand) you find yourself reviving your troops more then you should or you die because our troop decide they want to shoot you. Sometimes I think luck is never on your side in this because like your partners the enemies aren’t much smarter turning this game into a task to beat.

Great things come out of every game lucky for you the games co-op play with a mix of online play and offline play is it. This provides a smooth and relatively enjoyable experience for you and the players around. We aren’t saying that the games co-op mode doesn’t have any problems, like respawning system in the game no-one notices your wounded icon when your wounded unless someone tells you there wounded, other then that it a good co-op player.

The games visuals may look strong but, they are one of the weakest elements in the game for a Next-Gen game this game has some fair looking character models but, other then that the backgrounds can use some work. Mainly because they are bland and lacking or needing more. This is what kind of scares me because one more thing we noted was the flames in the game they are very poor, as if they didn’t spend time on this game at all.

Closing Statement:

I wish there was alot more I can say about this game but, I don’t think there alot of things featured in this game to make up for all it’s mistakes. If the game had a stronger Single player and Multi player this would be one of the best games on the Playstation 3. I’m giving this game a 5 out of 10, sorry guys hope you don’t hate me for this. Free Radical could of done much better with this game instead of pushing the PlayStation 3 they hit it breaking it and breaking my heart.

Activision reveals new screenshot for Guitar Hero IV under development of the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. Of course of many new innovations will be part of Guitar Hero IV like a complete set of accessories including a guitar, Drumset, microphone and battery. This makes it possible to compose your own Battle Of The Bands where two groups of four players to clash on line. The game will be releasing this year on Microsoft Xbox 360, Sonys PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii.

According to Pro-gamers, Gears of War 2 will indeed have 4 player co-op, this news come’s as no surprise because in an interview with Gamespot Cliffy Bleszinski confirmed that the game will have 4 player co-op. In the news article it stated that three players will join the party at any time to help the main player in progress. The game is set for a November 2008 release in Europe and the USA.

Namco Bandai has released a new video gameplay for there upcoming game DragonBall Z: Burst Limit. There isn’t much i can’t tell you (other than the fact its the final fight between Goku vs Frieza), your just going to check out the video for yourself.
