The sales reports are in, making it clear that UFC 2009 Undisputed is May’s undisputed champion selling a total of 1,014,000 within May alone.

The title moved in 679,600 copies on the Xbox 360, 334,400 on the PlayStation 3, meaning that it overcame Nintendo’s donating Wii Fit by almost tripling its score putting it in second place. It also pwned EA’s, EA Sports Active putting it in third place.

In May hardware sales, revenue came in at $302.5 million, a 30 percent decline while software was off 17 percent at $448.9 million. “This is the first month that industry sales have dipped below $1 billion since August 2007,” NPD analyst Anita Frazier said in an email.

“May is typically one of the lowest revenue-generating months in any given year for the industry in general,” she added.

King of Fighters XII’s online play is run through a lobby system. Two players will fight it out while up to six other players wait in line for their turn. Yeah. Wait should I really be yeah-ing about this? The developer behind hit games such as Fallout, Bethesda Softworks has revealed their plans to announce a Wii project later this year.

In an interview with industry site GamesIndustry, Bethesda Europe’s Sean Brennan questioned whether there’s a market for 18-year-old-and-up Wii titles.

“Is there space in the Wii market for that? I think there is, but again, it’ all about finding out how big that is,” said Brennan. “Is it 5 percent? If it’s five per cent of the market and you can own that space it’s worth doing because you can achieve volume.”

With that being said, it was revealed by the developer/publisher that they are planning a really big Wii game to this year. According to Brennan, “We are going to make an announcement on a really big Wii game this year, we’ve got a couple of other things in the pipeline, and it’s a format we’re really looking at with the right approach.”

“We’re not going to establish a new range and call if ‘My Girly Game Range’ or whatever these other companies are doing, it’s so me-too and boring,” Brennan added.

Well, isn’t this something. Most of us already know that the 360 outsold the PS3 3-to-1 this past Thanksgiving holiday, but this is a whole other story. Today, Reuters has reported that the Nintendo Wii has meet the demand for this past Thanksgiving week and the sale have increased since last year.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told Reuters in an interview that more than 800,000 Wii systems were sold in the US during the week of the Thanksgiving holiday, more than double the 350,000 units it sold in the same period a year earlier.

“When the economy is strong, people tend to buy three things from the top of their wish list. But when things are bad, people often buy only the first thing on their list,” Iwata said. “Fortunately for us a lot of shoppers put our products at the top of their list.”

Iwata also said sales of its DS handheld were up about 20 percent during the Thanksgiving holiday week in the U.S. compared with a year earlier.

Alright. On Thursday, Capcom released a shareholder report, which stated that they will no longer be willing to make anymore platform exclusives for all three of the system that are right now out on the market. I know it was hard to believe at the time, but… Yeeah, you get the point. Now, once’s again thanks to the guys over a Nintendo Everything we can sleep happier. According to them, Capcom doesn’t want you to worry about the shareholder report and what was stated from it.

“Relax. I think the materials pretty much speak for themselves and we’re continuing to support all consoles with appropriate content,” said Capcom’s Christian Svnesson. “It just means things that in the past would have been timed exclusives to a single platform will no longer be exclusive to a single platform. It’s just better business decisions at play. I don’t think fans have anything to worry about. That said, I know nothing I say will keep people from freaking out, screaming ‘the sky is falling, OMG!’ So feel free to carry on assuming the worst. I suspect you’ll be pleasantly surprised if you do so.”

Well maybe they should have just delayed the game all together. According to an article by Gamekyo, Atari has announced that the delayed PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark is “undergo improvements”. The improvements will be in terms of gameplay, the games other version really didn’t do good gameplay-wise. If you didn’t know the recently released version of Alone in the Dark for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii didn’t get nice review from many online journalist getting mostly 3′s and 5′s. We have yet to review this game mostly because we have yet to beat the game or even buy it.

Dead Rising on the 360 was one of the first games to feature a few hundred enemies on screen, which was a surprise for all 360 owners. Now, Capcom wants to put that same surprise in the Wii version of the game, Capcom told Nintendo Power Mag that their main objective for the game is to reach the 100 enemies on screen mark. Which just happens to be less impressive than then what they had set for Micorsoft’s Xbox 360, but it’s for the Wii it’s a large number.

According to Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello, Redwood Shore’s, which is in parthership with EA, are planning to release their sequel to The Godfather Video Game, The Godfather 2, “a few months” after the November release of Valve Software’s Left 4 Dead. This was revealed during an annual investor’s conference, which was held today, when talking about the upcoming roster of mature-themed titles. If the game is planned to be released a few months after Left 4 Dead that means it could be released in early 09.

During Comic-Con, which took place yesterday in San Diego, Activision comfirmed the development of Marvel Ultimate Alliance II: Fusion. Which is scheduled for PS3, Wii and X360, the game is currently in production at Vicarious Visions studios . The president of Sega of America, Simon Jeffery, has announced that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has aready sold 10 million copies around the world. The game is a sacred performance which combines naturally with both Wii and DS versions, bring gamers closer into the the world of Mario & Sonic.

The game has successed the 4 million mark which was expected by Masano Maeda. Obviously, with such figures the likeness of these two team up again are very high. So ending on that note, it really doesn’t look like Sega needs to try any hard to bring back Sonic because with Mario, Sonic can never die.

Nintendo today announced that Animal Crossing: City Folk would be headed to the Wii. Along with the announcement of Animal Crossing for the Wii Nintendo announced Wii Speak for the Nintendo Wii. Wii Speak is a mic-like system for the Nintendo Wii.

Today, maybe all about Microsoft but, that can’t stop Nintendo at all. We got news that Nintendo is set to present a new accessory, in detail, for improving the performance of its Wiimote. They call the accessory the Wii MotionPlus, which is set to provide the response time of 1:1, which happens to be an instant.

This day couldn’t get any better, first it was the confirmation of the 360 price cut, then the rumor that the Lost Planet movie will be in there sometime in 2011 and now this. According to Nintendo Everything , in the latest issue of NGamer “promises that Disaster: Day of Crisis will be at E3.” There has not been too much information on the game as of late, the most of which only reported a delay in the Japanese release date. Looks like Sadness does have a way of spreading, Nibris have just release the first artwork and details for Sadness on the DS to Nintendo gaming website Nintendic. A new horror game coming from the creative team that originally conceived the idea of Sadness for Wii. Today Eden Games officially announced that the development for the fifth installment survival horror video game series under the same name created by Infogrames. Has completed development the game will be released on PC, Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 2 in June 2008 in Europe, with North America following in June as well. While the PS3 verision has been delayed PS3 owners will get exclusive episodic content to make up for this downfall.

After Nintendo’s surprise announcement of Wario Land Shake for the Wii, new details have just poped up on the web.

Wario’s latest adventure looks like it’s being designed with both casual and hardcore gamers in mind. A side-scrolling platformer, the game makes use of 2D artwork to depict its characters and stages. The game promises a total of 20 stages, taking you through all the expected environments, including jungles, deserts, and caves.

Controls have been kept simple, with the Wiimote held horizontally and most of the action controlled with the D-pad and the 1 and 2 buttons. Nintendo is including some waggle controls as well. Shake the Wiimote up and down, and you can make Wario perform a few extra moves, like shaking coins free from an enemy you’ve grabbed onto. The Wiimote can also be tilted to control vehicles.

According to Jeux-Video, a site reserved for press only state that Capcom’s Street Fighter 4 will be headed on the PC this winter. Famitsu magazine has revealed new screenshots for One Piece: Unlimited Cruise planned for a release this summer in Japan.
