Ubisoft Montreal have unveiled Rainbow 6 Patriots, the next installment in the highly acclaimed Tom Clancy franchise. Patriots details the tactics of Team Rainbow, a homegrown terrorist uprising and the many civilians caught in the crossfire.

The games terrorist threat, called the True Patriots, hopes to restore its interpretation of American values by beheading corporate America and overthrowing the government. In addition to the announcement, creative director David Sears showcased a technical prototype of Patriots; showcasing the developers vision for the title, which is a bit controversial.

“Terrorism has evolved, and so has Rainbow 6,” added Sears. “In Rainbow 6 Patriots, all the team play, tactics, and realism that fans of the series love have been coupled with an exciting new narrative direction. This adds an unprecedented level of humanity that will make Rainbow 6 Patriots an extremely tense and immersive experience.”

The definition of insanity; someone doing something over and over again, but somehow expecting different results. In Far Cry 3, the characters are fighting to come to grips with their sanity, something that has completely allured them.

In the third installment of the franchise, players are placed in the shoes of a reporter — on a tropical island — investigating stuff as usual. However, it turns out that militiamen are murdering the inhabitants of the island, and it’s up to player to survive and escape.

“Whether you’re already a fan of the Far Cry series or jumping into the franchise for the very first time, you’re going to be blown away by the gritty story and epic adventure we’re going to deliver,” said exclusive producer Dan Hay.

This game is without a doubt one of the hottest games on the market right now, but according to some reports the game maybe too hot for the 360. Numerous amounts of Xbox 360 users have reported that their game has been freezing up after  the 62 percent progress line, and their really not happy about it. The reports goes onto state that some users have managed to play 65 percent and even 84 percent, but even after that the game freezes up.

“I wonder can you sue a company for putting out a game this buggy?” said a GameFAQ’s member. “Those Ubisoft-****** should send a guy from their staff over here that plays the game till the point where I stopped when it froze. Seriously, I’m not playing 62% of the game again.” stated another one.

In the latest issues of Edge Magazine Ubisoft and Edge a has brought to us new Prince Of Persia screenshots and images.The game will change it’s combat style to a more "Soul Calibur" fighting and will use Cel Shading.It is scheduled to be released on holiday 2008 for Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Today, UbiSoft sent out a release schedule, which stated that the May 22 release date was incorrect.

“Please note: Change to Haze release date is MAY release,” said a spokesperson. “Confirmation of the release date soon.”
