Like if you needed more of a reason to watch all of the information that will be coming out of the Tokyo Game Show this year. According to the Examiner, Capcom, one of the biggest game publishers and developers to date, has been teasing on it Twitter of the new titles that it will be revealing at the Tokyo Game Show this year.

“Hard at work on Tokyo Game Show plans,” said the publisher via its twitter feed. “Several new games to be announced in Japan, lots of new content for [Lost Planet 2], [Tatsunoko vs. Capcom], [and Dead Rising 2]. Exciting!” Tokyo Game Show 2009 will be held from September 24 to the 27.

It looks like this awesome game has awesome sales. When speaking at the Reuters Global Technology Summit in Tokyo last week, Capcom CFO Kazuhiko Abe has revealed that Resident Evil 5 has sold 4.4 million copies worldwide since its launch in March.

“We are still enjoying strong demand, very strong demand, that is,” Abe said on Thursday. “In the single month of April, sales came to as many as 570,000 units.” Capcom posted an 11 percent jump in operating profit in the year ended March 31 as it enjoyed strong sales of Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV.

For the current financial year to March 2010, it forecast a 6 percent rise in operating profit to a record 15.5 billion yen ($164 million). Abe said the company aims to drive its overseas sales by offering titles that appeal to the expanding U.S. and European markets but has no plans of pursuing acquisitions.

A few weeks ago, SEGA announced a highly anticipated title for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 entitle End of Eternity. However, it now seems that it’s the same trailer for Resonance of Fate, which is the North American version of the same game.

SEGA is teaming up with Tokyo based developer tri-Ace to bring the title to market in Spring 2010.

“Partnering up with a respected developer like tri-Ace adds to SEGA’s already great line-up,” said Gary Knight, European Marketing Director for SEGA Europe. “With titles like Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile, the team at tri-Ace has proven themselves as masters of real-time combat and great storytelling.”

Last week at a event in Tokyo, it was revealed that one of Namco Bandai’s team were busy working on the sequel to Magna Carta: Tears of Blood, which released back in 2005 for the PS2.

The game simple entitled Magna Carta 2 follows the original story set in the world of the war-torn Lanzheim Continent and involves a male character named Juto – who, apparently, can’t recollect his past.  The game will contain character designs by Korean artist Hyung-Tae Kim, and will include fully-voiced CGI cutscenes to deliver parts of its narrative. 

For a battle system,  the game will mix strategic turn-based and real-time elements. Also there’ll be no loading screen when headed into said battle - everything will happen in the same environment, bits of which can be used by players in battle. However, its developers, Namco Bandai, are promising 40 hours of gameplay in which players can explore the world of the war-torn Lanzheim Continent. 

Players will earn Kamonds by beating up monsters that can be applied to power up weapons and generate new items. With each weapon comes a different style of fighting, which, according to Namco Bandai, will offer a set of special abilities tailored to the weapon. 

However,  some of the special abilities will require timed button presses, and once a powerful over-drive mode is initiated, players can smack around foes with their most formidable skills. The current release window is the third quarter of 2009 for the U.S..

[Magna Carta 2 Revealed via IGN]

Today, at the Xbox 360 Spring Press Conference in Tokyo, Yoshihisa Kanesaka of Namco Bandai took the stage to revealed their upcoming game, Magna Carta 2 – which is only releasing on the 360.

Along with the reveal of the game, he also showed the first game play for the game (located below). Magna Carta 2 is expected to release in Japan on 8/6/2009, and Japanese pre-order-ers will get a special visual book for doing so.

However, no word has been given on if we’re going to see an American release, but it’s likely that we are going to be getting one.

Ninja Blade has always been about action and, lucky, for all its fans in Japan, they will be getting the chance to sample that action very soon.

Today, FROM Software has announced that Ninja Blade will be getting a demo, or as they like to call it, a free trial in “sequential” delivery on December 29 on the Japanese Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The demo start off in a modern-day version Tokyo called the “SHINE-MATIKKUA-KUSHONGEMU stage”, as it was translated. At the being of the sage players will take the role of the main character, which swoop down from the high-rise buildings and fights the enemy in “dive-action”.

Anyway, there was on information given on a North American version of the demo, or any onther version of the demo.

As many of us may know, it’s a holiday in Japan and Capcom as held a little gathering for their fans for a big fighting event in Tokyo’s Shinagawa area. At the event the company revealed the return and embodiment of Viewtiful Joe. According to them, the classic GameCube hero will return as a playable as a Wii character in Tatsunoko VS. Capcom. Well, that’s what Capcom confirmed during a special stage event for the title, which was stated in a report from Dengeki Online. Capcom also announced two other newcomers for the Wii version Saki from Quiz Nanairo Dreams and Ippatsuman.
