The trailer became a viral sensation. Now, Dead Island has grab the attention of Hollywood. According to Variety, the Sean Daniel Company and Union Entertainment have partnered to acquire the rights to a movie adaption of the highly anticipated title.

The producers “have started searching for a writer and are currently in discussions with studios and film financiers about making the movie,” the entertainment site continues to report. In addition, Deadline reports that “studios and agencies are all over them, suggesting talent packages and story lines to try and make a screen deal. That will likely happen in the next week or so.”

Update: Deep Silver denies reports that a film version of Dead Island is underdevelopment, stating that the movie rights have yet to have been sold.

UbiSoft has confirmed that the sequel to Call of Juarez, Bound in Blood, will be headed towards stores sometime in June, which was stated via a release schedule.

UbiSoft’s release schedule doesn’t give specific dates for each versions, so as of right now the game looks like it will release on PS3, 360, and PC on the same day. It is stated that the game will be a, “bigger and better adventure to fans of shooters and the lawless Wild West.” Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood will release on the PS3, 360 and PC.

In 2007, we had the chance to play one of the best western video games in along time, but it wasn’t a remediable experience because of the games many tempering uses. Hopefully, this time it will be a bit different because UbiSoft is looking to change that with the next installment into the series, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.

Today, UbiSoft announced  Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, the game will be a prequel to the wild west shooter Call of Juarez, which, sadly, was met by some very so-so reviews when released.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood transports players from a ravaged Civil War-era Georgia to the Aztec ruins of Mexico. In the wildest West ever depicted, players can embody both McCall brothers in an intense Wild West storyline full of greed, lust and lawlessness that takes place during a legendary period of American history.

“Call of Juarez was well received by gamers and critics,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “We’re confident this new collaboration with Techland will bring an even bigger and better adventure to fans of shooters and the lawless Wild West.”
