Lets get Ready 2 Rumble!!! This was just one of the many lasting impressions that the game left on us from our last fight vs. Michel Jackson. But, that was a long time ago and it now seems that the title is ready for another championship battle.

Retaining much of the same elements that gave the original game its luster, Ready 2 Rumble Revolution will not be featuring Afro Thunder – sorry fans. But, the game will retain its RUMBLE feature, which is a round determining feature that turns the fight around.

On the Wii the game looses its original button controls and now it will take advantage of the motion-controlled realism of Wii in a Wii Remote and Nunchuk combination, so expect controls like the Wii-Boxing. And what kinda ‘new’ this game will be nothing  if it didn’t have new locations. Well, we should be happy it does.

The game runs at about 60 frames per second, and the game even has a more advanced Artificial Intelligence program. Speaking of, you will get the chance to test the Artificial Intelligence in the Championship Mode in were you create a player and go trough rankings on your way, once again, to the big Las Vegas showdown. With also have a wide variety of characters fitting for almost every player type.

Midway have not released one in years, but that doesn’t mean that the franchise is dead. After all, German publisher 10tacle Studios did confirmed that it would be continuing the series in partnership with Japanese developer, Aki.

Now, Atari has announced its official plans for the return of Ready 2 Rumble on the Wii. The game is entitled Ready 2 Rumble Revolution and it will feature a list of about 18 “wildly caricatured cartoony boxers” based on celebrities from movies, music, and sports.

As of gameplay, Revolution will make full use of the Wii control system, meaning it’s most likely going to play exactly like every other boxing game that’s been attempted on the Wii, like Wii Boxing.

The developer also promises more realization on elastic and particularly sharp AI. There was also some talk about a long list of game modes, like championship and etc., and the possibility to use of Mii Avatar in the game. There is no doubt that the first trailer should arrive shortly.
