We knew that it was coming, but you can’t say for sure until the product strikes gold. Today, Insomniac Games revealed that R&CF: A Crack in Time has gone gold, and that it has sent out to manufacturing to be printed and shipped out across the country for its release on October 27th.

“It’s been an incredible experience seeing this game come together at Insomniac over the last year,” says James Stevenson, Community Relations Manager at Insomniac Games on the PlayStation.blog. “From our earliest prototypes of Clank’s time gameplay, to the final space exploration levels that allow Ratchet to land on and explore spherical moons, there has been a ton of effort and love put into this game by the team here at Insomniac.”

A Crack in Time is destined to be yet another huge exclusive for Sony’s machine and, as always, Insomniac is destined to produce a quality title, as you can tell.

Ratchet & Clank have always been know for their array of entertaining weaponry, and in the upcoming installment, it’s no different. At a panel entitled “Weapons 101″ at PAX, Insomniac creative director Brian Allgeier revealed some of the new weaponry that will be featured in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time.

The most entertaining of the weaponry had to be the Rift Inducer 3000. The Rift Inducer 300 summons tentacles from an interdimensional portal, which in turn grasp enemies and abscond with them through the vortex. Which, as you can tell, is very entertaining to watch.

Another weapon is the Chimp-O-Matic. The Chimp-O-Matic turns your enemies into adorable monkeys, and robotic enemies into robotic toy monkeys with cymbals – which is a gut buster. “Has there been a time when a weapon felt more ‘Resistance’ than ‘Ratchet’?,” Insomniac stated during the panel.

In an attempt of desperation, we’d do anything for details about  Insomniac Games’ upcoming Ratchet & Clank title, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. So when viewing the description of the on Sony’s website, we found some very hidden, read between the lines, details on the game - thanks to the Examiner.

According to the description, Ratchet’s sidekick Clank will be playable, once again, after mysteriously disappearing at the end of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Clank returns upgraded with time-manipulation powers, much like what you’d see in Heroes, the hit television show.

However, on Ratchet’s sides of the equation, players can expect non-linear levels along with new weapons like Hoverboots and more weapon customization – you know, the works. Along with that, the space segment has been revamped. Players can now explore the star system and find hidden items in addition to participating in space battles.

That does sound entertaining. Expect the game to release sometime within this year – we where told this fall, but one never knows.

GameTrailers TV just released the first ever teaser trailer for Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time. The teaser focuses on the supreme power of time and the consequences that will result if time is manipulated. Of course, that means that some bad guy will create ‘A Crack In Time’ and that means it’s up to Ratchet & Clank to seal it. Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time will arrive in stores sometime in Autumn 2009.

We have just been informed that Ratchet and Clank will be making a return this fall on the PS3 in their newest adventure Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. The game promises an the experience of “travel[ing] back in time”, and answering some of the franchise fans’ biggest questions about the game.

The plot plays as follows; after discovering that lovable robot Clank’s disappearance was engineered by Dr. Nefarious, the Wrench-swinging Ratchet races to save his best friend. Along the way, both will finally uncover the hidden truth behind their origins, and discover their ultimate destinies.

Powered by Insomniac Games’ fourth-generation PS3 technology, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time will continue to bring the experience of playing your own computer generated animation movie to PS3. A Crack In Time arrives in stores in Autumn 2009.

They were right, this news isn’t as ‘earth-sharding’ as a new Resistance title announcement but it’s still very interesting, interesting indeed. After all, they are developing something.

Insomniac Games’, the creator of the Ratchet and Clank and Resistance seires,  revealed today that their next title will only be available on the PlayStation 3, besides rumors that they were going multi-platform.

It was also revealed that the title is currently in developement, but, much like must developers on this kind of announcement, they didn’t reveal anything on the game.

The information was revealed in the Los Angeles-based developer’s biographical information as the studio announced it is one of the best places to work for in the state of California, according to an Employers’ Group survey — the fifth-best, to be exact, and the only game studio on the list.

As reports mandated today the developer behind the popular Ratchet and Clank and Resistance franchises, Insomniac Games, is preparing some ‘big news’ to reveal tomorrow. Now, it seems that the developer has updated there status on the ‘big news’ and now it seems that the news isn’t so big, at all.

Anyway, three hours after the revealing of the announcement, the developer updated its Twitter page and now it seems that, once again, the news isn’t so big, at all.

InsomniacGames Twitter: “Managing expectations…news is not earth-shattering…but still cool nonetheless…at least for us it is!”

So, what does Insomniac have planned for tomorrow?

A very interesting listing has popped up on the official Entertainment Software Rating Board website. According to the listing, Rachet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty will be rated E10+, the game was an open secret which was revealed by PS3Fanboy . There was many signs which pointed to the game of being a PSN download, but yet it’s still unclear whether this will just an add-on to Ratchet & Clank Future or if it’s a game by it’s self.

We already heard the news that Insomniac and Infinity Ward wouldn’t be giving trophy support for Call of Duty 4, Ratchet and Clank and Resistance. Now, it looks like we’ll be adding one of Capcoms games to the list. According to a post made by one of Capcom’s many moderators , it looks like Capcom will not be adding any trophy support for Devil May Cry 4. The moderator told one of their members that trophies are very unlikely because the game already has its own “little trophy system”.

The moderator also told the member that the likelyness of there being trophies in Puzzle Fighter is also very unlikely, mainly because the team working on the game is finish working on everything for the game. But, look up the moderator told the user that SSF2T HD Remix trophy support is still undetermined.

Sony continues it’s policy of expanding it’s target and keeping alive its best-selling console. After Silent Hill Origins and Ratchet & Clank it’s Daxter and WipEout turn to be adapted. Today, sony announced that WipEout Pulse and Daxter will be heading to the PlayStation 2. WipEout Pulse will be available in September of this year and Daxter will be available sometime next year. It’s difficult to choose between these hit games but, it’s up to you to decide.
