Ahh… man!!! Gamers, including me, have picked Christian Bale, who played Batman in The Dark Knight, as their number one man to take on the role of Solid Snake in the film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid. However, that doesn’t seem likely.

The grizzled actor has reported to MTV Multiplayer that he hasn’t been approached about being featured in the film adaptation of the very popular video game.

Bale have you been approached about being featured Metal Gear Solid? “No”. Are you a video game fan? “Yes,” he stated. Okay, what games do you play? “That,” he continued.

In an interview published by the Japanese magazine, Dengeki: PlayStation, Hideo Kojima explained why he took the role of game designer on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, despite his previous claims that he would play a smaller role in the development of Metal Gear games after Metal Gear Solid 4.

“At first, I was just going to create the overall guidelines and concepts for the project, and leave it in the hands my excellent staff. I was going to have a hand in the project as a producer, and make titles other than MGS. But, I set the game in the South American(sic) country of Costa Rica and created a story with themes about nuclear deterrence and the cold war. It looked as if it might be very confusing to young people, because of generational differences. So, in the end I finally said, “I’ll do it.”

The only time Kojima directly referenced the gameplay of MGS: Peace Walker during the interview was when discussing the trailer shown at Sony’s press conference. When pressed about the cardboard box with two Snakes in it, Kojima said, “what we showed is called ‘The Love Box’.”

When discussing Metal Gear Solid: Rising Kojima said that it would not be a traditional Metal Gear game. “It’s a completely different kind of action than what has appeared in the series so far.” He also said, “I’ll be working more deeply on the project then a normal producer.”

Metal Gear Solid: Rising explains Raiden on the Kojima site, but what about Big Boss? During the Sony Press Conference, Hideo Kojima took the stage to announced his newest project for the PSP Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

The game is said to take place ten years after the events in Metal Gear Solid 3. Kojima emphasised that he and the MGS4 team were deeply involved in the game. Also, that it’s not a spin-off or sidestory. They also said that they’ll be using all the features of the PSP. Peace Walker is said to release in 2010.

“With Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Kojima Productions has once again pushed the limits of the PSP system, creating a beautiful sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3,” said Martin Schneider, European Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker lets players take the action and excitement of a console game to the PSP, and is a stunning addition to MGS Lore.”

“What game has 360 owners always wanted to play on their 360?” At the Microsoft E3 Press Conference, Hideo Kojima announced “Metal Gear Solid: Rising” for the Xbox 360 – but we’re not sure that it’s an exclusive yet because they only said “in developement”.

However, instead of featuring Solid Snake, the game will star Raiden.

“The Metal Gear Solid series is one of the most highly acclaimed video game franchises of all time,” said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “With Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the Xbox 360 community will finally get a chance to enjoy the action and excitement that this popular franchise is known to offer.”

It seems that things are a bit clearer now. After teasing us with letters we can’t even make sensible words out of, the Kojima “NEXT” project teaser site update has finally revealed some more information about his upcoming game.

Anyway, the lighting and rain return, but this time with the letters “R” and “P” flash on the screen – along with the other letters from before. However, the teaser site reveals another hint. A picture of what looks like Big Boss – I’m not going to beat around the bush here, it is.

If you didn’t know, Big Boss was Solid Snake’s commanding officer in the original Metal Gear, however, it’s later revealed that Snake is his son-slash-clone.

And the un-candid teasing from Kojima Productions continues, and you though you were mean. The developers behind the Metal Gear series still plan on announcing the game at E3 – revealed by a tip to 1UP sometime ago.

However, there’s an advertisement running in the latest issue of  popular Japanese gaming mag, Famitsu, which hints, and teases at an announcement on 2009.5.18 and its all written within the clouds. Anyway, right now, it’s only reported that Famitsu is running the advertisement. So, once again, hold until May the 18th for details.

In addition, it was spotted someone – we don’t know there names – some hidden clues, hidden within the advertisement.

As we all know, Kojima Productions currently is working on a iPhone version of Metal Gear Solid called Metal Gear Solid Touch, but if we look back sometime before the announcement you will probably see a FPS rumor. This was because Kojima had visited the offices of Infinity Ward to do god knows what, earlier that day.

Now, however according to Famitsu, Hideo Kojima tells them that he is working on two new games currently in development at Kojima Productions.

Here is how he said it was going to go down: The title that will be announced first is being made in a style similar to the way his team has already done in the past, while the second will be produced and restructured by Kojima Productions with the overseas market in mind.

Kojima’s current goal for his development team is, “a software house that can compete with the best of the best from America and Europe.” Could one of these be a FPS game?

This week, Hideo Kojima left us with a little note on his company’s website hinting the next Metal Gear game, but it was not a direct notice like of the some other hints, it had you really thinking about what the next game maybe. There was even the question of which platform it was going to be on. But, today there is a rumor going around that the next Metal Gear game will be a first-person shooter.

According to an anonymous poster on the 4chan board, Metal Gear Solid series director Hideo Kojima visited the offices of Infinity Ward to learn more about about first-person shooters, “apparently.”

The purported Infinity Warder wrote – with accompanying photo “proof” of the visit – that Kojima is working on something in the “FPS genre so he came to us to learn and take details from the team.” But, it wouldn’t be the first time that Kojima was rumored to have called upon the Call of Duty developer’s FPS know-how.

Kojima has also dropped by Call of Duty: World At War developer Treyarch, we hear, which is a strong hint about first-person shooter factor. But, is this first-person shooter really the next Metal Gear game?

Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward helps to clarify the details of Kojima’s visit, saying the photo is “legit” but calling the quote that the Metal Gear director was there “to learn” from the developer “bullshit” and “re-donku-lous.”

I’m not going to beat around the bush, when it comes to Ninja games Ninja Blade isn’t on the tip of the mountain. But we can at least rest today knowing the, possible, release date for the game – because we all know that games have the tendency to be delayed.

Today, From Software has shared their release target for their game Ninja Blade. The game is set to release on January 29, 2009.

When announced prior to the Tokyo Game Show, the game had shown some very high promise at the time and it still does today. And to celebrate this release date announcement, From Software has just updated the official site for the game.

Also for those who can’t get enough of Ninja Blade will be able to immerse themselves in the game through a new soundtrack, which was also announced today by From Software.

Produced by Gem Impact’s Norihiko Hibino, who’s known for his work on the Metal Gear series, the soundtrack includes 27 tracks on two discs, both of which have color picture labels. Also Ninja Blade’s main theme song, Beanstalk, which was produced as a collaboration with Yuki Koyanagi, will be distributed worldwide on iTunes and various ring-tone sites starting 12/24.

But, this wasn’t the reason she made it on our list. It’s because she found away to avenge her father’s death and finish the mission.

Nariko – Heavenly Sword

Nariko wielder of the Heavenly Sword, an immense power that drains the wielder life force. Her clan believed that one day a predestined male would be born and would one day reclaim the sword. But, as you may already know, instead of a “predestined” male, our hero, Nariko was born. So why put her on this list? Well, it’s because with all of that stuff she was able to overcome them and show everyone that she was the predestined female for the job.

Eva – Metal Gear Solid Series

“Big Mama” or Eva was originated from the Metal Gear Solid series on the PlayStation systems as one of the key characters in Metal Gear Solid 3, the game where she had made her debut. Yeah, I know she not has popular as Lora, but that’s one of the reasons why she made it on the list. Ok, so yeah she’s cute, but if it wasn’t for her the Metal Gear Solid protagonists, Snake and Big Boss, would have a hard time finishing their mission.

Chun Li – Street Fighter Seires

Chun Li from the Street Fighter series made her debut in Street Fighter II as one of the game’s eight playable characters and as the solo female character of the game. Her main story was to avenge her father’s death, an undercover police agent who disappeared by the hand of M. Bison. By the end of the game she fulfills her mission and decides to return to her life as an ordinary girl. So why put her on the list? Well, it’s simple by doing this she made way for many other female characters in fighting games.

Elena Fisher – Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

Elena Fisher from the very popular video game for the PlayStation 3, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, a reporter for Uncharted, a TV show documenting archaeological finds. Well, she is a newcomer so why put her on the list? One because she knows what she wants, if you didn’t know, when she heard that Nathan Drake was on to something big she hired a private detective to hunt him down. She did find him and joined him on his adventure. So willing yes she is. Second, she’s fun, but with attitude kind of way. And who doesn’t like a fun girl.

According to Variety , Capcom is teaming up with producer Avi Arad to bring the Lost Planet movie adaptation to life. The movie is set to be part of a distribution deal with Warner Bros. Along with the news we got word that David Hayter , which was aready know by the rumor posted on the net, will be the writing the script for the movie. Arad will be producing the movie with his son Ari in partnership with Steven Paul through Seaside Entertainment. We are still waiting for officail word from Capcom about the movie.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is just what long-time fans hoped for, but according to Famitsu Metal Gear Solid 4 is nothing but just another game not a system seller. Famitsu has revealed the hardware sales for the month of June, the sale revealed that with all the games sold in japan Metal Gear Solid didn’t really help the PlayStation 3 beat the Wii’s hardware sales.

With the fact that Grand Theft Auto IV has sold more on Xbox 360 than PlayStation 3, a press release was issued by Microsoft which proclaimed that the “Xbox 360 generates more dollars at retail for third party publishers.” or in layman’s terms, Microsoft is trying to get there hands on Metal Gear Solid 4 for the 360. But, get this….there are using sale figures to get Konami to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 onto there system.

If you didn’t know, we reported some time back that Grand Theft Auto IV did phenomenally well on Xbox 360, 2 out of 1 times better then the PlayStation 3.

For the people who live Japan ,Tokyo today is Metal Gear Solid Day. With this great day there is some Huge Metal Gear Solid 4 advertising all over the city  from one the size of a building,one all over the truck even video presentations of the game on the big Jumbotron. While there is nothing like this in the U.S we sure would have love to see this but we do have the lovely TV advertisement.

With the release of Metal Gear Solid 4 on it’s way, a rumor is going around that the original Metal Gear Solid might be heading to Xbox Live Arcade.

"MGS might be following its tactical steps onto the PS3 and PSP, via an Xbox Live Arcade infiltration. This is not too surprising, since the series has made its way onto non-Playstation consoles a number of times, and Microsoft even published MGS for the PC release."

As in other words, Metal Gears Solid maybe headed to XBLA but yet there’s still isn’t words from Konami, the makers of the game.

[Rumour: Metal Gear Solid Coming to XBLA via Ripten]

Konami has released new images the European Metal Gear Solid 4 limited edition on PlayStation 3, which contains in addition to the game a making-of Blu-ray, the original soundtrack and a Old Snake 20 cm action figurine. There will be only 25.000 unit, this pack will leave June 12 and will cost 100 euros (155.19 U.S. dollars).

After announcing the game Konami has presents us with a trailer that comes full with in-game footage from the game. Has you can see in the game you control two characters, a boy handling a pistol and a girl with a sword-like wlip. Castlevania Order of Ecclesia is planned for Nintendo DS by the end of the year in Japan.

The author of the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 GamePro review has confirmed that the game doesn’t have a 90 Minute Cut-Scene. He told the readers "I’ve beat the game twice, and am the author of the forthcoming GamePro review," he goes on to say "Ninety-minute-long cinemas in MGS4 sounds like an exaggeration. Like the other MGS games, MGS4 definitely has a cinematic quality. And yes, some of the cut-scenes in the game are elaborate and occasionally lengthy. But not a one, to my recollection, even approaches 90 minutes ."

In the current issue of the Official UK PlayStation Mag they posted new rumors for the PlayStation 3, the rumors arrived from a member of the N4G forums after the Metal Gear Solid 4 preview hit the web. There was word at GDC that there was a Uncharted 2 in the works, other then that we have not gain word that if the rumor is official.

- Uncharted 2 will be set in the jungles and temples of India.

- Capcom is working on a new game called Spyborgs .

- Ubisoft is lining up deals to make an Assassin’s Creed movie.

- A Cloverfield game is in the works.

- A sequel to 2K’s The Darkness is also in the works.
