Well, there once was that rumor going around that Obama and Palin will be playable characters in the hit EA game Mercenaries 2. When watching G4 today, yeah we watch it, I tuned into one of my favorite shows on the network, X-play, and in their Gaming Update they confirmed that both Barack Obama and Sarah Palin will be playable characters in Mercenaries 2.

“Mercenaries 2 is a game seemingly ripped straight out of today’s headlines and fueled with the same type of over-the-top action found in the best summer blockbuster films. It only makes sense we inject the game with a spin on current affairs. The timing was too good to let pass.” said Tom Stratton, Pandemic Studios.

Well maybe they should have just delayed the game all together. According to an article by Gamekyo, Atari has announced that the delayed PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark is “undergo improvements”. The improvements will be in terms of gameplay, the games other version really didn’t do good gameplay-wise. If you didn’t know the recently released version of Alone in the Dark for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii didn’t get nice review from many online journalist getting mostly 3′s and 5′s. We have yet to review this game mostly because we have yet to beat the game or even buy it.

A new Mercenaries 2: World in Flames video dropped in today showing off some of the assignment that you will be playing the upcoming game and showing how to take on certain mission in the game. Don’t know about you but this game looks like it is something special.Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is the upcoming sequel to 2005′s Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction , due for release in the US on August 31, 2008 and in Europe on September 5, 2008.
