Darth Vador has recruited a bounty hunter in the hunt to capture his rouge apprentice. LucasArts has revealed that Boda Fett will appear in The Force Unleashed II. According to LucasArts’ writer Haden Blackman, Boba will play a “small but pivotal role” in the sequel.

“Boba Fett is one of those characters that really resonates with fans,” Blackman said. “There is obviously a lot of fan favorites and it’s a really, really rich universe with tons and tons of characters but Boba Fett is one of those characters that fans just keep asking for more of.”

In a time of tension throughout, LucasArts have confirmed the resignation of president Darrell Rodriguez. Earlier speculated, LucasArts have reveal that they’re searching for Rodriguez’s replacement, and that this move will not impact the company’s development teams, nor its publishing business.

“Darrell Rodriguez has resigned and we have initiated a search for a new leader,” the company said in a statement given to IGN. “Jerry Bowerman – a member of the Lucasfilm Board of Directors and a games industry veteran – will be stepping in to lead the LucasArts executive team during this transition. Lucasfilm remains fully committed to making great games and we continue to invest in our business.”

Rodriguez was named president of LucasArts in April 2008. Prior to joining LucasArt, Rodriguez served as the COO of EA Los Angeles.

LucasArts has stated that it’s going back to what made them so famous in the first place, creativity. And there’s nothing more creative than their newest title, Lucidity – which was revealed in the latest episode of GameTrailers TV.

Lucidity is a puzzler/platformer that stars a young girl that goes by the name of Sophie, who lives with her grandmother, and is having these dreams. However, Sophie’s grandmother is getting old, and, in these dreams, they’re usually about her looking for her grandmother.

But, instead of controlling Sophie. In Lucidity, players command of the level, altering it as Sophie – who wanders around controlled by AI – goes around. Lucidity will be available later this month on Xbox Live Arcade.

You probablely have  heard the rumors that LucasArts are hard at work developing another title based on the surprisingly good Star Wars television show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and you know what, they are correct.

The game is entitled Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes, or The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for short, and it will take place between seasons 1 and 2 of the animated Clone Wars series. It will also feature a wide range of playable heroes, including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, and some of the clone trooper characters.

In addition, the game will have a cooperative mode were you can play can with a friend of your choice. Expect the game on September 15 for all this gen systems.

Pandemic, who was the developer behind the original Star Wars: Battlefront title, has denied picking up the third installment of the Battlefront series from Free Radical, who was originally working on the third game.

“As of right now I can say Battlefront III is not currently at Pandemic,” a company spokesperson confirmed to members on its forums. “While I know the title seems to be up in the air from all the buzz around the web… LucasArts will be the only one knowing where the title is at right now.”

Free Radical, last year, lost its deal with LucasArts after very public money problems, and when it got acquired and re-branded by Crytek into Crytek UK.

Update: Anyway, Video Gamer has now found out that the “rumors of Rebellion doing the Battlefront III project aren’t wrong.” So of right now Rebellion is working on Star Wars Battlefront III.

Original: In the past months retailers have hinted of this game being in development, after all there was that big mistake that Amazon had listed this game on there site. Now, it looks like an ex-Free Radical employee has apparently posted some renders for the “secret LucasArts project.”

According to the official site of Richard Smith, who is the ex-Free Radical employee, the “secret LucasArts project” is Star Wars: Battlefront III, and he even had pictures to prove it. But, sadly the pictures were removed faster then they appeared. But, lucky we were able to grab the renders before they did the hoodeney. The renders are models of Han Solo and Sahra The Bounty Hunter.

Back in May, LucasArts informed it’s fans that it wasn’t doing a PC version of The Force Unleashed because of the vast differences in power of PCs in people’s homes. Now, Videogamer has informed us that Randy Stude, president of the PC Gaming Alliance, has slammed LucasArts for not releasing a PC version of massively successful Star Wars game The Force Unleashed.

Stude said that, “The PC being the gaming platform that it is, someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn’t be the same game.”

“LucasArts hasn’t made a good PC game in a long time,” he said. “That’s my opinion. They make some pretty good games for the Wii, you know those little sticks you wave in the air, that seems like a natural fit for a lightsaber game, sure. But I think the last good PC game they made was probably Jedi Knight 2…”

LucasArts has many games featuring the name Star Wars, but what makes this game any different then the others? Well, for one thing the name speaks for it’s self, with a name like that you wont need any advertisements because it has everything to with releasing the Force. Today, LucasArts revealed that it’s recently release demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been download over 1 Million times on the Xbox 360 via Xbox live. This means that this game has been downloaded faster then the 360 original, Too Human. In addition to the record-breaking achievement LucasArts has revealed that the demo been downloaded more than 2.3 million times worldwide to date on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Last week I had the chance to pick up Battlefield: Bad Company and I continue loving every second of it. Earlier this month voting closed as we where all allocated a chance to pick, which map pack should DICE begin to work on. A blog post on the Official DICE site went up today that briefly accepted that their will be new content dropping when the patch releases soon, we desire.

The future update will be free.The patch will fix many major bugs,server lags and VOIP issues.With the bonus of a few gameplay tuneups and three new weapons added that where only available if you pre-order the game or played the demo will be added to the game which will be available for everyone at no cost. Trophy support will be added to the game.While these updates are great we hope to find a release date very soon on when you can expect this update.

In a video interview Matt Shell, Marketing Manager at LucasArts, confirmed that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be will be unleashing a demo via Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network in August.

The demo will feature the special version of the Tie Fighter Construction Facility level, the demo will also feature very special powers and a special ending that will not be featured in the full game.

Many rumors have been floating around concerning a possible price cut, and it looks like it’s time to give confirmation on the rumor. According to The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft will be indeed bring the console down to $299. And to add to the announcement there’s suggestion that a new 60GB Premium unit is set to replace the current 20GB edition will be announced at E3 later this month.

Star Wars: Battlefront III ,as of right now, looks like it maybe a reality as somewhat states current rumors on the net. While it is in development at Free Radical, a Amazon.com listing provides that it will be launched on every major console. Everyone will have to wait until the coming up E3 event next week for the official announcement from Lucas Arts. Remember when LucasArts assured us that the layoffs wouldn’t affect the development of  the upcoming Star Wars game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed . According to Joystiq, the LucasArts layoffs included some of the members of the Force Unleashed team. Joystiq happen to talk to one of the many ex-member of the team he/she told them that “the layoffs came just as work on the game was wrapping up.” Right now, the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is un-delayed and is still set for a September 16 release date.

Sometime back many websites reported that LucasArts wouldn’t be attending this years E3 events because they stop working with Activision as a regards to the European market. Well, think again. We got news that LucasArts will indeed be delivering the force this E3 event. In addition, to the news we also got word that the collaboration with Activision on the European market was not on the agenda.

Not too long ago Lucasarts announced that you will be able to play as Darth Vader in The Force Unleashed. Now, we have found some cool gameplay of Darth Vader from in the game. The Force Unleashed follows the story of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice as he trys to get rid of remaining Jedi. The is set between Episode III and Episode IV, which happens to be dark times in the Star Wars universe. The game is set to release this September.

Good news, Lucasarts has announced Darth Vader , fictional character from the Star Wars universe, will be playable in The Force Unleashed. But, you will only be available to play as him in first level of the game, and from then you’ll have to take the role of Vader’s apprentice.
