Remember when Capcom was nice enough to announce Lost Planet 2 via Xbox Live but only for the 360, and how there was a ton of speculation on whether, or not, it would be coming to PS3?

Well, it looks like Capcom is still thinking about it, but let’s hope they come up with something, soon.

“We’re still thinking about it and haven’t announced a PS3 version, so we can’t say more about it just yet,” producer Jun Takeuchi told Gamesradar.

Takeuchi explained the reason as of why they revealed the game via Xbox Live.

“We wanted to show the game first and foremost to fans of the original Lost Planet,” he added. “We talked to Microsoft about doing it this way and they were interested in it as well. Also, I think it was a unique and memorable way to announce the game.”

Sometime this month, or last, Capcom revealed that they were hard at work on both the Dead Rising sequel and Lost Planet sequel, but for some reason they only announced the Dead Rising sequel. But, now its seems that it’s Lost Planets time to shine.

After reports that Capcom is to reveal a ‘Top Secret’ project on Xbox Live, it seems that today they have revealed their ‘Top Secret’ project via video – not video on Xbox Live – and you know what, it’s Lost Planet 2.

According to the video, the game will be powered by Capcom’s proprietary engine, the MT-FrameWork 2.0., and being a game about the climate, the game will feature alot of climate change, meaning Hot and then Cool types of climate. The game will be produced by the guy behind Resident Evil 5, Jun Takeuchi.

The video also says that the game would not be fixed on one character – unlike the first game – but instead it will be fixed on the different Snow Pirate factions. The game will also have Mechs with passenger seats and turrets along with portable shields much like what has been seen in Gears.

What a shocker, after Capcom shut down like a million of these rumors it’s great to see that they have plans for the many fans of their Lost Planet title. But, here’s a question, whats new for Wanye?

According to PS3center, with the announcement of the Lost Planet film budget, which will cost about $150-$200 million, Capcom has also revealed, within the pages of Famitsu, that they are indeed working on another Lost Planet title.

The developer and pubilisher also revealed that the title is set to release this year on both the PS3 and 360, with some exclusive content for the Xbox 360 version.

Ending with that, YES is all I’ll say. I don’t know about you guys, but I loved the first game, and I really think it’s sad that not alot of people play it still.

In the shadow of the Lost Planet sequel announcement, Capcoms exec Keiji Inafune also mentioned to Famitsu that they are also currently working on a Dead Rising sequel.

According to Inafune, “We’re finally putting out new Dead Rising and Lost Planet games! As a main principle we’re thinking about multi-platform, and expanding upon both slightly from the Xbox 360 version.”

But, sadly, in has statements in that interview he didn’t go into details on if the Dead Rising sequel would Multiplatform. And if you don’t remember, in their shareholders it said that most of their games are going to be Multiplatform, but lets wait and see want the future holds.

A rumor has been going around the net that Xbox Live is going free for select games until fall. Apparently that rumor was true. According to a updated post by Shacknews, Microsoft has informed them that Xbox 360/Games for Windows silver members will limited free multiplayer access.

Here’s what a MS rep had to say “For a limited time, we are offering free online multiplayer on Xbox 360/Games for Windows titles that offer LIVE cross platform play,” a representative explained. “This promotion won’t last, so we encourage everyone to take advantage of it while they can.”

The representative concluded that, “When the new Xbox experience launches this fall all multiplayer gaming on Xbox 360 will be for Gold members only.” As the original rumor stated the only games that will feature this limited free online play are Universe at War, Shadowrun and Lost Planet: Colonies Edition.

According to Variety , Capcom is teaming up with producer Avi Arad to bring the Lost Planet movie adaptation to life. The movie is set to be part of a distribution deal with Warner Bros. Along with the news we got word that David Hayter , which was aready know by the rumor posted on the net, will be the writing the script for the movie. Arad will be producing the movie with his son Ari in partnership with Steven Paul through Seaside Entertainment. We are still waiting for officail word from Capcom about the movie.

This day couldn’t get any better, first it was the confirmation of the 360 price cut, then the rumor that the Lost Planet movie will be in there sometime in 2011 and now this. According to Nintendo Everything , in the latest issue of NGamer “promises that Disaster: Day of Crisis will be at E3.” There has not been too much information on the game as of late, the most of which only reported a delay in the Japanese release date. Every since that report no new launch date has been scheduled and Disaster seemed to be heading to the vaults.

Not so long ago we reported that David Hayter would be working a deal with Warner Bros. to induce Capcom’s Lost Planet to the big screen. Now, a rumor has been spotted up on the internet that advises the Lost Planet movie adaptation will be coming our way in 2011.

According to 1UP, the Lost Planet movie adaptation will be coming our way in 2011, or in other words the movie will be seen for the first time in theaters some in late, mid or early 09.  Many rumors have been going around that the movie would indeed be coming to life on the big screen, and many sources state that Warner Bros. will indeed be the distributor, with Capcom and Seaside Films co-producing the adaptation in to film. But, for now this is still a rumor so until E3 there is still no official word on the movie so far, so we still need to wait.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is currently out for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

According to an article posted by IGN (Joystiq ), veteran voice actor/screenwriter David Hayter revealed a deal with Warner Bros. to bring Capcom’s Lost Planet to the big screen. Bring Lost Planet closer to fruition than previously thought. Hayter told IGN that "It’s not entirely confirmed yet," he goes on to say "we are just closing the deal with Warner Bros. for me to adapt Lost Planet." But, unfortunately due to Hayter’s contractual agreements, IGN was unable to obtain more specific information about the film. Just keep E3 as an open window for an announcement.

In the article Hayter goes on to talking about his Hayter’s approach to adopting games to film here’s what he had to say "There is gap in Hollywood between people who write good movies and those who appreciate good video games," he said. "I’m fortunate enough to be in both worlds. For myself, I try to make an effort to take the essence of the game, keep as much of that as possible, and still put it into a proper film structure."

 ”Capcom was kind enough to send us a pre-release copy of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for our PlayStation 3. Surprisingly, just like Devil May Cry 4, Capcom also requires a 5GB installation that can take up to 15-20 minutes. Only this time, there isn’t much to read on-screen, and it’s pretty much pointless to sit in front of the TV watching it install so very slowly.

While we are confident that the 5GB installation is worth it, will this be a Capcom requirement for all of their PS3 titles? Perhaps.”

Yeah…..We know.

But When You Look At It This Is Not The First Time This As Happened Let Go Back To Devil May Cry With It’s 20 Minutes Download But It Had A Story For That 20 Minutes Of Waiting With The Picture But This Time There Is Nothing But The Loading Screen Which Is Okay For Me Because We Got Things To Do Like Pay Some Bills. If Capcom Take’s The ” Required Installation” Out Will This Mean Less Quality Of Games For The Gamers Because believe Me Lost Planet On The Ps3 Looks About 20% Better Than The Xbox 360 Verison.
