And you thought you that you couldn’t get enough Halo. During the San Diego Comic-Con, Microsoft revealed its plans for an anime-style Halo miniseries entitled “Halo Legends“.

“Five production houses in Japan are handling the physical animation, but Microsoft’s creative staff is approving major visual and storytelling decisions,” said Frank O’Connor, creative director for 343 Industries, the Microsoft division that oversees all Halo products to the LA Times.

Those five well-known anime studios are Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio4 C, and Toei Animation. They’ll be playing key parts in “Halo Legends” seven-part series product. “Halo Legends” will release on DVD and “digital platforms” in early 2010 through Warner Bros.

“If you look at how George Lucas held on to ‘Star Wars,’ not just to make money from action figures but to control the direction the universe went in, you can see why we think it’s pretty vital,” said O’Connor. “Luckily, Microsoft has the resources to enable us to do that.”

Last year, many of us were very shocked by the low supply of Wii’s, mainly because every kid and parent wanted to have it. This low stock was caused by the Wii’s, then, very low price and fun factor, but by the looks of things we maybe in for it again this Holiday season. When interviewed by the Los Angeles Times, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime hinted of the fact that there could be a chance that the Nintendo Wii may not be able to meet the demand this Holiday season.

In fact the Wii is still very hard to get your hands on today, Reggie even stated that, “one of our competitors’ projects,” he said (we’re thinking he meant Sony), “they will sell 10 million consoles worldwide this year. For us, that’s three months of production.” And if you add it all up this number doesn’t add up this will mean that they aren’t meeting production standards. Here’s why: the Wii production is suppose to be up 33% over last year, from 1.6 million consoles per month to 2.4 million. That’s why they aren’t meeting the standard.

At it’s midnight showing The Dark Knight grossed in an estimated $18.5 million, that’s the most ever for midnight showing in a long time. The last movie to hold this record was Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith, which grossed $16.9 million. And the lastest movie to hold this record was Spider-Man 3 which made 59.8 million in it’s opening day and by the looks of things The Dark Knight will be breaking that very soon. While some experts say that this movie is expected to gross $170 million, it may have done that by the time this story is posted.
