TheANGRYpixel has confirmed with local distributor e-Xpress Interactive a couple of days back that Soulcalibur IV will indeed not make it to Indian shores. Mainly because Ubisoft doesn’t believe in offering any sort of sales concession when it comes to Indian markets. When talking about the situation, e-Xpress has clarified that rather than haggle with Ubi and import the games for “an obscenely high price”, they elected to not import the game.

But, after Bethesda’s Pete Hines clarified that Bethesda / 2K would still continue to be the worldwide publisher for Fallout 3 on all platforms and would be in-charge of marketing and distributing them across North America, Europe and and Asia, many people may have already gotten a sign of of relief. But, there’s yet official word from them about the confirmation of a Indian release.

The reviews for the upcoming game by ubisoft, Haze, came in this morning and so far the game isn’t do as we wished.

IGN- 4.5

Haze was touted as a great PS3 exclusive from a developer well versed in first-person shooter mechanics. While Free Radical does have a solid pedigree, Haze does not live up to the company’s reputation thanks to a horrible plot, weak gameplay mechanics and visuals that are truly underwhelming. While playing with friends is enjoyable, not even those are enough to bring this lackluster title around.

Ultimately, Haze is still sitting in the wake of Call of Duty 4, and falls into that category of being just another FPS. The game tries to include different content with Nectar abilities and rebel dynamics, but a confused story, lacking gameplay elements and technical bugs bog the game down from being a stellar PS3 exclusive. It’s worth a rental, but know that Haze isn’t a name you want throw out there next time you’re having a console-focused debate.

Today, on the UbiSoft Haze forums one of the Dev where asked a question and one of those questions where “Will Haze have a mandatory install?” the dev responded by saying “You will need to go through a minimal install (about 4 Gigs) but not the whole game.”

The game revolves around Mantel Industries, a corporation that has bio-medical expertise. Who developed supplement that enables soldiers to fight smarter called Nectar, but it has an effect which makes soldiers no longer cognizant of the real battlefield environment around them.

Today, UbiSoft sent out a release schedule, which stated that the May 22 release date was incorrect.

“Please note: Change to Haze release date is MAY release,” said a spokesperson. “Confirmation of the release date soon.”
