After months of wondering when we’re going to get a chance to play the game, DICE has announced today that Battlefield 1943 will be available on July 8th on Xbox Live and on July 9th for the PlayStation Network.

By offering Frostbite’s next generation destruction technology with a full Vehicle Warfare FPS multiplayer experience at a mere 560MB, Battlefield 1943 sets a new standard,” said Gordon Van Dyke, Producer on Battlefield 1943. “Our goal is to blow people away with a fully accessible, retail-calibre game for veteran Battlefield fans and shooter fans alike to enjoy for only $9.99.”

Battlefield 1943 is an all-new download-only action game that brings DICE’s first-class vehicular warfare to gamers.

Well, this comes as no surprise what so ever, but if you are a fan start jumping because it looks like things are competly about to change for you after this announcement.

DICE has officially announced there development of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the sequel to last year’s blockbuster title. And the game is set to use the same engine as in the other game, the Frostbite engine so you know it’s all about ‘destruction.’

In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the ‘B’ company fight their way through snowy mountaintops, dense jungles and dusty villages. With a heavy arsenal of deadly weapons and a slew of vehicles to aid them, the crew set off on their mission and they are ready to blow up, shoot down, blast through, wipe out and utterly destroy anything that gets in their way.
