The anticipation towards DMC has been building, especially since no one knows exactly what to expect. But, at gamescom, developer Ninja Theory — in conjunction with Capcom Japan — detailed the new combat system and hinted into the upcoming “rebirth.”

When discussing the upcoming title, developer Tameem Antonisades said that the developer wanted to “preserve the combat dynamics of the [Devil May Cry] franchise.” He added that they wanted to import Ninja Theory’s “world building” and character development; keeping the franchise tradition and expanding on them. But, working “collaboratively” to expand on them with Capcom Japan.

Continuing the discussing, co-producer Alex Jones discussed the demo they showcased. “[The demo] touches on the guts of DMC, which is fluid character control, uber responsiveness; all the things that people want from a DMC game,” said Jones. “It’s where we’ve put most of our production resources in to this point in the game.”

“We’ve spent the bulk of our resources nailing that,” added Capcom Japan co-producer Motohide Eshiro. However, as for Dante, the game takes place in both the real world and limbo, a demonic dimension which runs parallel to real world. Dante will inhabit both sides of the spectrum, because he has some demonic heritage of his own. It’s kind of like the real world and the actual world situation.

But, for the character himself, the developers describe Dante as a disenfranchised youth that “has a lot of rage.” Thus of use of this “rebellious” style — in both character and overall design, pushing Dante to become the antihero that we know and love.

“We did want him to feel more contemporary, more Raging Bull than Rocky 3,” says Tameem. “Dante’s kind of like an outcast in this story, he lives on the periphery of society. We’ve found a good balance of a young Dante who is pissed off, but still retains that wit, that black humour. He’s not emo – he’s never been emo! – he’s just so disaffected and disassociated with society that he just doesn’t give a shit about it. He has no fear, and no respect for authority, particularly not the demonic authority that runs the world.”

Capcom has announced its plans to release an affordable collaboration of three of Capcom’s greatest games that have ever released on the 360 entitled the Platinum Hits Triple Pack.

The Platinum Hits Triple Pack combines Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition – Colonies Edition, and Devil May Cry 4 all in one box. Each of which has been awarded Platinum Hits “Best Seller” status and together have sold over 3 million units in North America alone.

This pack has the sole propose of giving any gamer that haven’t had the chance to play these titles the chance to redeem themselves for a great low price of 39.99. However, we all know that the real reason is that Capcom has too many copies of these games in stock. But, anyway you put it everyone wins.

Original: When we first gained news that Devil May Cry director Hideki Kamiya was heading a hardcore action title at Platinum Games, we then and there started jumping for joy. But, for the longest time we weren’t sure when and were they were going to release it.

Now, however, we have been informed that at a SEGA press event recently in Japan it was said that Bayonetta will be giving enemy’s big kicks in the face this fall. And here’s were it gets interesting, according to information giving at the event, its do for a ”simultaneous worldwide release for Fall 2009″.

Comic-Con was held last week and it seems to have given some ideas to Capcom and DC Comics. Ideas indeed… Today, both company announced a partnership for a comic book adaptation of the Devil May Cry and Resident Evil franchises. The details on who the writing and  designing are yet to be revealed so is it’s official release date. But I’m sure that Wildstorm, a privately company owned by DC Comics, will be doing work on the comics.

A rumor has been circulating throughout the web, stating that Capcom could be bring one of there beloved games to the PlayStation Portable system for sometime now. But, according to the Japaneses PSP Game Listing for Capcom, Capcom maybe bring Devil May Cry to the PlayStation Portable after all. The list shows recently released and unreleased PSP titles, when the list it translated it says the release date is "To Be Determined". Could this mean that Capcom maybe planning to reveal the PSP version of the game at the upcoming E3 this month? We really don’t know at this point but lets just hope they are.
