The first trailer for The Bourne Legacy has made its debut. But, most importantly, its quickly circulating the web.

Netflix is not expanding into the video game retail business, marking the end of its potential dangerous Qwikster business experiment.

Netflix chief executive officer Reed Hastings confirmed to investors that his company no longer plans to rent games, a strategy that was first announced in September as apart of the planned Qwikster business spinoff.

Qwikster is a standalone business dedicated to discs but, when customers heaped criticism on the company, Netflix hastily scrapped the plan. “We expect DVD subscribers to decline steadily every quarter, forever,” said Hastings on the DVD based business in general.

The Dark Knight Rises has arrived in Pittsburgh — in addition to some spoiler-heavy images from the set. The first images reveals Tom Hardy in his Bane costume and the second from a desert cameo-covered version of the Tumbler.

The Last Airbender movie left an undesirable taste in your mouths. But, at the Nickelodeon Comic-Con panel, the cable service released a brand new trailer for new The Last Airbender mini-series “Legend of Korra,” washing the taste out of our mouths.

This pass weekend, San Diego Comic-Con attendees were treated to an exclusive look at MTV’s Good Vibes, an upcoming animated series from the producers behind of The Simpsons and Pineapple Express.

The show takes place in a fictional California beach town where two best friends — Mondo and Woodie — attempt to prove that they’ve got what it takes among a world of surfers and babes. And, as seen in the trailer, it’s not afraid of raunchy humor.

Marvel Studios have released the complete seven piece concept art for The Avengers — when assembled, they form one big banner for the highly anticipated movie.

Behold, the Knights of Badassdom trailer. And, from the looks of the trailer, the movie looks extremely promising. Knight of Badassdom follows a friend who tags along with his pal for a weekend of LARPing, but things soon get supernatural.

The Spirit of Vengeance returns. And directors, Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine — known for the intensely unique Crank series — are looking to bring their unique style to the flame-headed antihero’s upcoming movie.

At the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance panel, the two directors were joined by stars Johnny Whitworth, Idris Elba and, of course, Nicolas Cage. The panel began with a behind the scene clip showing exactly how the on-screen insanity was achieved.

The method behind the madness; namely, real life insanity. The clip showcased a collection of wireworks and rollerblading, both used to film the movie. ”You will see bones be broken. Real bones,” said Taylor, putting emphases on the on-screen insanity.

Continuing the panel, Cage stated that — because all the actors were required to do their own stunts — he’s actually happy that he got the chance to portray Ghost Rider, instead of just Johnny Cage. He also said that he was happy to return to the character because there’s a lot that he had left to say about Johnny Cage.

Speaking about differences between the two movies, Cage added that he’s been living with his “head on fire” for several years so he’s a bit more acclimated to the aspects of his character. However, Taylor describes the character as a “pure nightmare,” saying that “there’s no logic to it at all. He’s not a superhero, he’s more like a horror character.”

Whitworth then talked about the intensity of the two directors style, stating that the camera was always in his face and that their stunt filming style was “extremely different.” In addition, the directors explained that they changed the Hell Cycle up a bit, saying that anything the Ghost Rider rides transforms into a hell-vehicle.

Ending the panel, when asked if they saw any more Ghost Rider films in the future, Neveldine replied that there’s nothing that would be more fun than doing it again.

Ending with a historical season one, everyone’s wondering what’s in store for HBO’s Game of Thrones season two. At the Game of Throne panel, producer David Benioff said that people who read the novels know exactly what to expect.

“Well, those who’ve read the books know what to expect, but we’ve got a bunch of new characters coming in. It’s time to meet the Red Priestess. It’s time to meet Stannis Baratheon. There’s bad stuff lurking north of the wall. This will be a season of exploration.”

There was also that conversation of the length of each season. Because the third novel, A Storm of Swords, could be “too long for one season.” However, Benioff has said that he would consider breaking the book into two seasons, or have one and a half of a season.

Nevertheless, Benioff will just consider this entire venture a triumph if he can get to a scene in A Storm of Sword called ”R.W.” “If we get to R.W.,” he said, “we’ll know we’ve done something. If we can get to R.W., then I can retire.”

As for the DVD version of season one, those who hoped for deleted scenes may be a bit disappointed. “Unfortunately, or fortunately, we didn’t really have any deleted scenes,” Benioff added. “We used everything we shot. So as a result of that there wasn’t that much left on the cutting room floor. But the DVD team is putting together some amazing supplementary material. With art from Will Simpson.”

“I am concerned about the ending,” author George R. R. Martin admitted about continuing the series. “I still have two books to go and I’m juggling a lot of balls, and there is that fear that some of those balls will land on my head. But I’m just going to keep juggling as fast as I can.”

At the Mass Effect and Legendary Pictures panel, BioWare director Casey Hudson and movie writer Mark Protosevich discussed the challenges of transporting Mass Effect onto the big screen.

Hudson states that the strength of the game comes from its characters. However, Protosevich adds that people can be easily be seduced by visuals and the cinematic qualities of a game. And, when it comes to turning a game into a movie, filmmakers normally don’t care if the game has a solid enough storyline.

“In the early days [of video game adaptations], the idea was, let’s try to recreate this, instead of pausing and asking is this a good story,” Protosevich said to the crowd at Comic-Con. “Does it have interesting concepts, does it have interesting philosophies and themes? I think most games fail that test. This doesn not.”

But, when it comes to Mass Effect, Protosevich argues that the Mass Effect universe is as strong as the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings universes. Hudson then adds that working with Legendary Pictures will allow them to make sure that the Mass Effect movie will be “different” from other movies.

Optimus Prime just got some cinematic competition. Relativity Media have confirmed that its obtained the film rights for Voltron, and that it will adapt the popular cartoon into a live-action movie.

For those not familiar with the cartoon, the show follows a team of five pilots whose individual vehicles would combine to make Voltron, the defender of earth. In collaboration with Atlas Entertainment, the studio will adapt a live-action film based on the show. It optioned the rights from World Event Productions.

In the mock S.H.E.I.D. helicarrier base on the show floor, Marvel debuted The Avengers costume for Captain America.

During the Red Steel truck event at Comic-Con, Hugh Jackson confirmed the villain for The Wolverine.

Jackson revealed to the crowd that The Wolverine is scheduled to begin filming in October, and that “Chris McQuarrie has written a fantastic script.” He added that he’ll be fighting the Silver Samurai in the new film and that, “that should be exciting.” In addition, Jackson also revealed that most of the filming will take place in Japan.

Walt Disney Pictures have debuted the teaser poster for Marvel’s highly anticipated movie, The Avengers.

Harry Potter and the The Deathly Hallows – Part 2, the highly anticipated final chapter in the series, has broken the record for the biggest domestic box-office opening, which was previously held by The Dark Knight.

Harry raked in an unprecedented $168.6 million at the box office in just three days, making it the highest-grossing movie opening of all time at the domestic box office. The title was previous held by The Dark Knight, which opened to $158 million back in 2008. According to Box Office Mojo, one out of every four movie tickets sold this weekend was to Potter. Final estimates are due Monday.

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, The Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb discussed the transformation to the classic mechanical web-shooters — present in the original comic book series — from the genetic web-shooters.

In the Sam Raimi directed movies, Spidey was genetically given the webs, but in the comic books, Peter Parker made the web-shooters with a mixture of chemicals. But, it was said to be “too advance” for “geeky” Peter Parker to manufacture in Raimi’s movies. “We made a very conscious decision to go back to the mechanical web-shooters,” said Webb, “and I think the fans will appreciate it.”

Featuring a much darker and more mature undertone, Brave is an animated movie that pushes emotional limits, crafting a tale of “epic battles and mystical legends” which none will soon forget.

The recently released trailer reveals a hero — some generations ago — surviving larger-than-life challenges in the beautifully portrayed highlands of Scotland. The scenery seems to detail a fairy-tale-vibe environment and, as always in these movies, the main protagonist is an unexpected one: a girl named Merida.

Taking inspiration from self-operating machines and computer animation, the opening credits for HBO’s Game of Thrones, a fantasy based television series, was crafted using an interesting amount of “computer magic.”

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Angus Wall, founder of Elastic, said that the company used computer graphics to create the opening scene for the television show. “We wanted to do something different from the standard tropes for fantasy maps,” added Wall. “So we came up with the idea of a world inside a sphere.”

As the show opens, a virtual camera swoops along a map made of tiny mechanical cities that unfurl, rotate and pop to life driven by a complex series of cogs. The interlocking automatons are said to touch on the “three feuding families of the fiction and their histories.”

The trailer became a viral sensation. Now, Dead Island has grab the attention of Hollywood. According to Variety, the Sean Daniel Company and Union Entertainment have partnered to acquire the rights to a movie adaption of the highly anticipated title.

The producers “have started searching for a writer and are currently in discussions with studios and film financiers about making the movie,” the entertainment site continues to report. In addition, Deadline reports that “studios and agencies are all over them, suggesting talent packages and story lines to try and make a screen deal. That will likely happen in the next week or so.”

Update: Deep Silver denies reports that a film version of Dead Island is underdevelopment, stating that the movie rights have yet to have been sold.

It didn’t even crack the top five releases at the box office, earning just about $10.1 million in its opening weekend. However, Dimension Films has confirmed that its doing a sequel to the horror remake, Piranha 3D.

“We are thrilled that audiences are not just loving ‘Piranha 3D,’ but cheering for it,” producer Mark Canton said in a statement. “And it’s fantastic that so many critics are really getting the movie and recommending it. We can’t wait to get to work on the sequel.”

Though it may not seem like critics would recommend the movie, they did — the movie opened with many fantastic reviews from many renowned critics.

Following the success of the original series, Nickelodeon has just greenlighted a new animated series, The Legend of Korra. According to the network’s president, Brown Johnson, the series will expand the mythology of the Avatar universe — with it being set seventy years after the events of the original The Last Airbender series.

“Michael [DiMartino] and Bryan [Konietzko, series creators,] have imagined a compelling new story inspired by the Airbender mythology that they so brilliantly crafted when the TV series began,” Johnson said. “This new avatar is not only a girl, but also hot-headed, independent and ready to take on the world.”

The series follows the adventures of Korra, a “passionate, rebellious and fearless” teenager from the Southern Water Tribe, who seeks a master for the final element of Air — seeing that she’s already mastered three of the four elements.

Her travels eventually lead her to the metropolis of Republic City, an epicenter for the modern Avatar world. Although a thriving society of benders and non-benders alike, Republic City is also ridden with crime, including an anti-bending rebellion that is gaining momentum. Under the guidance of Aang’s son, Tenzin, Korra begins her airbending training as she confronts the dangers ahead of her.

The Legend of Korra will be produced at Nickelodeon Animation Studios and is expected to begin airing sometime in 2011.

Heavy Rain was develop as an “interactive drama”. However, developer Quantic Dream have plans to push Heavy Rain as another form of entertainment, a movie. According to Deadline, Quantic Dream are close to signing a movie deal with Unique Features.

Unique Features is the newest venture of former New Line Cinema executives Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne. That in mind, Unique has an exclusive deal with Warner Bros. giving the studio first-look rights to its pictures.

Released in February, Heavy Rain is a dark and utterly absorbing thriller where you set the rules and where the buck stops with you. With a killer on the loose and time running out, you must decide how far you’ll go to track him down. Since its launch, Heavy Rain has sold over a million copies.

Movies based on anything within the gaming industry are notorious for being bad. However, BioWare, Mass Effect series creator, has insured us that, if there’s going to be a film, they’ll make sure that it’s in the “right hands”. And that, for some time now, Hollywood has been keen on garbing the Mass Effect movie license.

“Obviously we have a tremendous amount of interest from people in Hollywood to make a major motion picture about ‘Mass Effect,’” BioWare’s Casey Hudson told MTV. “The most important thing for us is, we don’t just want to see a movie get made. We want to see a great movie get made, if it’s going to get done at all.”

However, back in ’08, Avi Arad, known for some awesome comic-book adaptations, optioned the film rights for Mass Effect. But, since then, we’ve heard anything. “We’re just looking at our options there, but waiting to make sure we have something really right before we do it,” Hudson told MTV.

Almost nothing has been said about the production of the Gears of War movie; everything said about the movie, so far, is either speculation or PR “contribution”. That said, the Gear of War movie producer, Wyck Godfrey recently sat down to discuss the challenges of translating the popular video game series into a movie.

Revealing that he didn’t take kindly to the already to explored environment within the Gears of War video games, Godfrey told Making Of that the Gears of War movie will center around the events of “Emergence Day”, 14 years before the original Gears of War – “Emergence Day” wasn’t explored fully within the video games’ storyline.

“The hard part is to make [Gears of War] into something that doesn’t feel like a world torn asunder and people just in battle,” Godfrey tells Making Of. “I think we really want to focus on the idea of a world that’s running well and then it’s Emergence Day.”

A month after rumors pointed at its development, Ubisoft has made it official. The French publisher announced today that in May, the same exact month that the Prince of Persia movie will be hitting theaters, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will be releasing on both consoles and handhelds.

Also, in the Press Release, the publisher revealed that The Forgotten Sands storyline will return to the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time storyline, which means it follows the original storyline. The Forgotten Sands will also feature “many of the fan-favorite elements from the original series as well as new gameplay innovations”.

That said, the release date wasn’t chosen at random. Like I stated before, the release time-frame is in directly conjunction with the upcoming movie, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time – based on the game with the same name. Can anyone smell a movie tie-in? Be that as it may, Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is expected to hit both consoles and handhelds in May 2010.

One the most important selling points of the PlayStation 3 is its no additional charge for online play feature. However, reports have been surfacing about a two-layered subscription model for the PlayStation Network – much like the levels of Xbox Live, but fundamentally different.

During a presentation, emphasizing Sony’s plans to make its video game business profitable, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai confirmed the company’s plans for a “premium level” of subscription for PSN. “We will be building upon our current free [PSN] service offering with premium content and services to start the subscription model,” Hirai told the attendees.

As reassurance against PlayStation 3 owners pay-to-play fears, Hirai reassured owners that the current level of service will remain free of charge.

“SCE will further increase sales by offering users new entertainment through the combination of hardware, software, peripheral, and PlayStation Network,” Hirai said in a statement given to CVG. “Especially in the online area, we are studying the possibility of introducing a subscription model, offering premium content and services, in addition to the current free services.

Much like what we’ve seen with Dead Space, a survival horror title, Dante’s Inferno, a game based on a “definitive view of the afterlife”, will be getting the animated treatment in the form of a animated feature; this is no new announcement, Electronic Arts announced the animated feature along time ago, however, this is the first trailer.

Tracking Dante’s decent into hell, the upcoming animated feature follows his pursuit to retain the soul of his beloved, Beatrice. In which, Dante encounters “many gruesome forms of evil” that dwell within circles of hell. This animated feature will release in February 2010, the same month that Dante’s Inferno is unleashed upon the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Sony PSP. Enjoy the very entertaining trailer.

As rumors of another Prince of Persia game unspool, the official trailer for the movie adaption of “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” popped up on the internet. But, that’s not the only good news. The trailer is actually pretty good; it has a great mixture of humor and action, which makes for a great action movie experience.

The trailer, also, indicates that the film’s story will stick to that of the 2003 game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which centers on a magical dagger that can be used to speed up or slow downtime. The Sands of Time is due in theaters May 2010.

Screenwriter Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida have signed on for the sequel to their 2006 video game adaptation, Silent Hill reports TheHollywoodReporter. The original movie, based on the hit Konami title, centered on a woman who travels to a desolate town seeking help for her ailing daughter only find supernatural occurrences taking place in the town.

Roger Avery, best known for the script in Pulp Fiction, is also penning video game adaptation “Return to Castle Wolfenstein“. The Silent Hell movie deal is one of several projects under Samuel Hadida’s company. In which Hadida counts Resident Evil, “Good Night, and Good Luck” and “The Rules of Attraction” under his belt.

We have some bads news. Director Gore Verbinski has stepped down from directing the BioShock movie for a possible forth installment into the Pirates of the Carribbean movie series, which isn’t all bad news because Pirates of the Carribbean is awesome, and it looks like Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has stepped in as director – SlashFilm reports.

Verbinski will remain involved in the project, but only as producer. However, as we reported back in April, Universal has shut down production of the movie because of the film’s ballooning budget that continues to grow. Also for some reworking of the script, and to explore possible locations outside the country offering financial incentives.

With a pool of talented name brand filmmakers hoping to helm such a project (Guillermo del Toro has been outspoken), its amazing that Universal went with Fresnadillo in the end, who’s best known as the writer/director of 28 Weeks Later.

Like the brain hungry zombies in the Resident Evil movies, director Paul W.S. Anderson is hungry for more. Resident Evil movies, that is. According to the popular Horror film site ShockTilYouDrop (via GameSpot), Anderson has confirmed that he will write and direct a 3D fourth entry in the Resident Evil movie series.

“I wanted to kick off a brand new trilogy,” Anderson told the site. “I’m really excited we’re doing it [in 3D], and we’re using the same camera system [James] Cameron used for Avatar. There are a lot of exciting things about this one. I don’t regard it as Resident Evil 4; I regard it as a retooling and rebirth of the entire franchise.”

The film will be called Resident Evil: Afterlife and will, once again, feature Milla Jovovich as Alice. ShockTilYouDrop also reports the film is expected to open September 17, 2010, and will feature new characters pulled from the game series.

The Prince of Persia movie adaptation is, undoubtedly, one of next year’s biggest summer movies, at least in our book. And to keep our anticipations up, Walt Disney’s Pictures has released few new posters showcasing the lovely Jake Gyllenhaal and the gorgeous Gemma Arterton in snapshot form for the upcoming movie (as shown above).

Tim Schafer, once again, walks us through the realm that is Brütal Legend, but this time he’s joined by Lee Petty, Art Director on Brütal Legend, and Erik Robson, Lead Designer on Brütal Legend, to give us 22 minutes of Heavy Metal.

But now we have uncovered the metal mother lode, the full legend of what actually happened in that loud and heavy era, and we are the lucky ones who get to tell the tale.”

This holiday season we’re going to have to dig deep into our pockets to find the money for buying video games, like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Brutal Legend, and Assassin’s Creed II. But, the developers behind Heavy Rain want their project to be really successful. And have push the game back beyond the holiday rush.

When speaking to GI.biz in a interview, Quantic Dream co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere stated that the Holiday ’09 release date for Heavy Rain was “a very crowded place”. As an affect, they have pushed Heavy Rain into 2010.

“Purely from my perspective, most publishers today realise that it’s not ideal to release a new IP or a new genre just before Christmas,” he said in the interview. “It’s a very crowded place to be, and certain games need more space to live their life. Everybody at working on the project, both at Quantic and Sony, believe this is the right time.”

More info should be revealed during Gamescom in Cologne next month on its new release date.

Grease gets summer loving from 505 Games and Paramount Digital Entertainment with the announcement that 505 Games has secured the global publishing rights for a video game based on the original high school musical. The game will be will oversee and publish for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.

The Grease video game will allow players to sing and dance alongside Danny, Sandy, The Pink Ladies and the T-Birds. The game will take full advantage of the Nintendo Wii’s motion-sensing controls and microphone, and the DS’s touch screen to create exciting gameplay for casual and family gamers eager to experience Grease in a new medium.

“We are really excited about working with Paramount Digital Entertainment to turn this world famous film into a video game for the very first time. Working with such a well known and much loved brand is a great opportunity and we believe the collaboration further strengthens 505 Games’ entertainment portfolio,” commented Ian Howe, Managing Director 505 Games.

The sequel to the film adaptation of Hitman is in production, according to a new report by movie site IESB.

Writer Kyle Ward, also attached to the Kane & Lynch adaptation, is handling the script for Hitman 2. Producers Adrian Askarieh, Daniel Alter and Chuck Gordon will return to work on the project.

The original Hitman movie, released in 2007, starred Deadwood veteran Timothy Olyphant in the role as Agent 45 himself. Despite dismal reviews, the film eventually raked in $99.9 million at the box office.

We recently had the chance to speak with Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt, known for their healthy career in the gaming industry, about their latest venture together “Tumbling After”.

GCO: For those that aren’t up to date with what you have done in the past, can you guys list some of your past works – both within the video gaming industry and on-screen?

Sure, Yuri might be best known for his work in video-games like The Prince of Persia series (as the Prince) in Sands of Time and Two Thrones. He also recently worked on Afro Samurai (Jinno/Kuma) – both the video games and series – opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Lucy Liu and Ron Perlman. He’s been in countless other game titles from .Hack// (Haseo), Saints Row, Persona 3 & 4 to Final Fantasy, as well as anime series Naruto (Sasuke), Gurren Lagaan (Simon) and more. He also does a lot of original animation work, having starred in Legion of Superheroes (Superman & Superman X), Ben Ten: Alien Force (Ben), Wolverine & The X-Men (IceMan) in addition to on-camera jobs. Most recently on TV he had a recurring role on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Christopher Garvin) as well as recurring on The Gilmore Girls (Carl).

And Tara is no stranger to video games, animation and television as well. In video games, some of Tara ‘s credits include Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (Red Queen), DC vs. MK (Wonder Woman), Persona 3 (Mitsuru) and Soulcalibur (Setsuka). In anime, she’s also on Naruto (Temari), Blue Dragon (Cynthia) and Buso Renkin (Tokiko). Tara also worked on Legion of Superheroes (DreamGirl). On-screen in film and TV she’s appeared in Gilmore Girls (Shelly), Charmed (Muse), recurring on Attack of the Show (Baronness & Spoiler Whore) as well as several indie films: Death’s Door, Time & Tide and Tumbling After, the feature film that we wrote, produced and completed this year under our production company Monkey Kingdom Productions. Clearly we don’t like to sit still…:)

GCO: How did you guys use your experiences with your recent venture “Tumbling After”?

Well, I think simply being in the entertainment industry as long as we have definitely helped us as we worked on Tumbling. It was its own unique process, which I don’t know that anyone could have been totally prepared for given the circumstances. And there were certainly moments when things got hairy, that we had to say, “This is just the way it’s gonna go!” and not take it personally or get bummed out, or we wouldn’t have finished the film at all. Yuri jokes that making Tumbling was our equivalent to going to film school; we had to learn on the spot and make things happen however we could just to get through the day.

We certainly called a few favors from people we know in all areas of the business. At every step of the process. It’s really the way things get done here, we’ve found. First it was calls to see if people could jump in as cast/crew, then it was to see if they could help in post-production. Those friend-favors are invaluable and we owe the caliber of the film in great part to the hard work and efforts of those people…which we couldn’t have accessed without having laid the groundwork in our personal careers up to that point. It’s such a huge undertaking, making a movie, that there’s a lot of trust involved, from start to finish, which is kind of funny, because trust is a major theme in the film.

GCO: When you hear the name “Tumbling After” you hear the ringing of the popular children song “Jack and Jill went up the hill”, was that you inspiration for the name of the movie? If yes, why?

Great! Then it’s working. Although the film is a psychological thriller, we like the eerie feel you get when you juxtapose children’s rhymes with scary ideas and images. Most of those fairy tales are pretty scary when you get right down to it, anyway. The main characters are named Jack and Jill for that reason, so that you are following the ‘tumbling after’ that befalls them. In fact, our tagline for the film is “Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water, Jack fell down and broke his crown and then began the slaughter…”

It’s funny really, since when we started filming we thought we might name the characters Jack and Diane, like the John Cougar Mellencamp song but fate stepped in and we ended up changing Diane to Jill just before shooting. And it all lined up perfectly. We couldn’t have planned it any better, really, since the character of Jack starts the film having just had a mental breakdown (he broke his crown) which sets all the events in motion (slaughter, you ask? Well, you’ll just have to watch and see.). So, yay! We’re glad that those images were conjured when you heard the name. Success!

GCO: Monkey Kingdom Productions. This has to be one of the most unique names I have heard in a long time, how did you guys come up with it? What’s the reason behind the name?

Why thank you! It actually stems from Asian myth and legend, by which we are both intrigued and inspired. In Eastern mythology, there is a Monkey King god. The Monkey King is a trickster god, always playing pranks on the bigger more powerful gods. We liked this image of the clever underdog, especially in the studio-powerful entertainment industry. So, we took that idea and our love of teamwork or a ‘kingdom’ of people, since in this business a successful project is never the work of a single person, and we created Monkey Kingdom Productions. ‘Cause when you’re having fun, its not really working, right? And if we don’t take ourselves too seriously and allow ourselves to play, then we’re just monkey-ing around. As we like to say, “C’mon monkey, let’s make a movie!”

Currently we’re shopping Tumbling After to several distributors and we are also in production and filming our next feature film, a documentary about the world of comic/cartoon/anime/video game conventions from the perspective of actors who travel there, since we live that firsthand. We are also co-authoring a book on voice-over due out this fall entitled Voice-Over Voice-Actor: What It’s Like Behind the Mic, so keep your eyes out for that. Like we said earlier, we’re always on the move!

Ahh… man!!! Gamers, including me, have picked Christian Bale, who played Batman in The Dark Knight, as their number one man to take on the role of Solid Snake in the film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid. However, that doesn’t seem likely.

The grizzled actor has reported to MTV Multiplayer that he hasn’t been approached about being featured in the film adaptation of the very popular video game.

Bale have you been approached about being featured Metal Gear Solid? “No”. Are you a video game fan? “Yes,” he stated. Okay, what games do you play? “That,” he continued.

Premiered on Sunday night’s live telecast of the MTV Movie Awards, the trailer for New Moon, the next movie within the Twilight sage, reveals the movies sweet awesomeness.

New Moon (also known as The Twilight Saga: New Moon) is an upcoming romantic-fantasy film scheduled for release on November 20, 2009. It’s based on the novel of the same name written by Stephenie Meyer and is the sequel to 2008′s Twilight, which is based on Meyer’s previous novel.

Last we heard, Universal decided to put the movie on hold because they were trying to explore different ways to cut down on the films budget.

However, in an update on his Twitter account, Wentworth Miller had this to say, “Prison Break may be ending, but I’ve got things in the works. Hint…one word: Bioshock.”

Miller could have meant that he’ll now have time to play Bioshock, but, somehow, I doubt that. Or maybe Miller has a voice part in the upcoming Bioshock sequel, Bioshock 2?

But, then again, since its announcement in August, Hollywood has eyeing a big screen adaptation of this popular first-person shooter. So, it could mean that he has scored a roll in the big screen adaptation of Bioshock, but for now it still a rumor, we’ll keep you posted.

The casting for the upcoming film adapation of Thor seems to be coming along well. When paying a vist to MTV Studios, movie director Kenneth Branagh was asked about the casting of the title.

“We’re down to the final stages of it,” Branagh said. “The reason one has to be properly diplomatic, is simply that some talented peopled have been patient, kind, creative and really committed to working with us in this process.”

He added that, “My reluctance to say anything about it is simply out of respect for people who have been extremely respectful of us. That said, I think we are extremely close and I hope to announce a decision sooner rather than later.”

Marvel Studios are targeting for a May 20, 2011 release for the film.

Original: That’s right. According to The Hollwood Reporter, it seems that Activision have set up deals for “Call of Duty: The Movie”, the movie for the very popular video game.

“[The Call of Duty movie is] being talked about for the big screen,” said one person with knowledge of the deal.

However, in an interview prior to Thursday’s quarterly earnings conference call, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick wouldn’t comment on the status of Call of Duty becoming a film.

Kotick added that video games, especially family-friendly titles – like Guitar Hero, which will be getting its own show - are “capturing leisure time away from TV and film.”

Evidence that Kotick might be correct was in the company’s financial report on Thursday. Revealing that Activision Blizzard’s first-quarter revenue had more than tripled to $981 million as net income swelled to $189 million from $43 million in the year-ago quarter.

According to Variety, Ryan Reynolds will be starring in his very own X-Men spinoff movie for the role he played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Deadpool. 

Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, is a mercenary who is dying of cancer and he submits himself to the Weapon X genetic alteration experiment and he emerges as an indestructible semi-sane anti-hero.

The movie will be produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel.

However, in one of the endings of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Deadpool is seen rising from the rubble of a destoryed building and whispering “Shhh…” to audiences, which we think was a poke to the fans of the movie. 

It seems that the movie is shaping up nicely. When being interviewed by MTV News, screenwriter Chris Morgan give a status update on the upcoming video game to movie adaptation of Gears of War.

“A draft went in and we’re talking about it now and we’re budgeting it out,” Morgan told MTV. “It’s looking incredibly good.”

“I think the gamer side is going to be thrilled with it,” Morgan continued. “All the stuff you want to see, we put that in there and then we blow it out a little more, even. Now it’s just a matter of honing in on all of the character arcs and determining production types of things.”

The film is currently set up at New Line with “Underworld” helmer Len Wiseman attached to direct.

Disney has released a new video clip from Pixar’s upcoming movie Up on Hulu introducing us to Dug, a talking dog that is very delightfull. Anyway, Carl and Russell come across Dug while wandering through the wilderness in South America.

In addition, the clip also features a gigantic rainbow colored bird nicknamed Kevin that has been following the duo since Russell feed him a chocolate. 

Beside being leaked on the internet a couple of weeks ago, it seems that it didn’t stop the beast from unleashing in the box office this weekend.

According to USA Today, the fourth movie in the X-Men franchise, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, took in an estimated $87 million in the box office since its release on friday, which, in short, means that the movie surpassed the studios expectations of $70 million – but, sadly, it still didn’t meet the standards set by Iron Man last year ($98.6 million).

“We sweated this one out,” says Chris Aronson, senior vice president of distributor 20th Century Fox. “But the exit polls are terrific, with nearly half the audience saying it’s better than they had expected. It really comes back to Hugh (Jackman). I think audiences have a tremendous appetite for both Hugh and his character, Wolverine, that he really created.”

It looks like this big budget movie may have been too big for its budget. Announced last May, the movie was in pre-production by Universal and 2K with Pirates of the Caribbean director, Gore Verbinski attached to helm the film along with John Logan, responsible for Gladiator and The Aviator, planning the script.

According to a spokesperson from Universal, the film will remain alive in an extended pre-production “so the studio and production can take a look at possible alternate shooting locations, available tax credits, foreign exchange rates and other elements that might help us make the film at a responsible budget.”

“No plug has been pulled on BioShock,” reps told Kotaku. “Universal remains committed to making the project and Gore absolutely remains attached as director.”

The movie was announced to have a budget at about $160 million, which, if you remember, rocked the internet with the announcement.

It’s very easy to tell that Paramount and Bad Robot’s downloadable title is a Star Trek game that is a top-down, space combat arcade title – which will be available on PSN and Live. But, other then that, we get very mixed up on the ‘DAC’ part of the title, and I mean really mixed.

Star Trek: DAC is “focused on fun, not a retelling of the story” of JJ Abram’s upcoming Star Trek reboot, according to Ben Hoyt, senior producer at Paramount Games. When calling Star Trek: DAC a mixture of Subspace and Geometry Warswhen describing the game.

Developed by Roboblitz creators Naked Sky Entertainment, Star Trek: DAC will support 12-person multiplayer, with two teams of six. AI bots will fill in the blanks if needed, or should your federation of online friends be unavailable. The game will also feature three modes, including solo play, cooperative play and a versus mode. Star Trek: DAC is due to hit Xbox Live Arcade in May, on or near the release of the movie.

Back when the DVD and Blu-ray versions of Wanted was released, Universal Studios implanted on to the discs 10 secret codes, which are hidden among the menu screen and/or bonus features, that unlock new portions of the game.

The codes will give you the ability to open up a new character, access enhanced weaponry and exclusive game modes, etc.. But, it also back into the DVD/Blu-ray movies. When an embedded code in the game is entered into the movie disc’s menu screen, a special featurette starring Wanted lead James McAvoy will be revealed.

Universal did not aggressively promote this game-movie cross-over when Wanted bowed on DVD and Blu-ray last year because the game, initially planned to release at the same time as the DVD, was delayed until March.

“Universal saw an exclusive opportunity to creatively intensify Wanted fans’ entertainment experience by crafting a code program that essentially is designed to drive film and game enthusiasts from the Blu-ray and DVD releases to the game and back,” said Hilary Hoffman, the studio’s senior VP of brand and digital marketing.“By bridging these two platforms, we effectively extend the marketing window for the film’s DVD and Blu-ray releases, substantially enhance game play and enable fans to unlock even more bonus content for one of their favorite films.”

Jigsaw’s, the guy that we just love to hate, will finally be getting a release date after some, foolish, talk that the game would never see the light of day.

Konami today revealed that it has come to the table with a deal with, Lions Gate Entertainment is to continue the work of  Brash Entertainment, after the the studio closed it’s doors late last year. The deal would entail the movie game so that it will release around the the same time with Saw 6, which is Fall 09.

The first trailer of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li may not be able to speak to you directly in English, but trust us when we say this video needs no translation – because this video is able to speak to you in its hot kung fuey action.

A genius parody has hit the Interweb, which was made by Kevin Pereira, entitled “Kevye West: 808’s and Expirations Dates (Guac Lockdown)”, which is an obvious pun on Kanye’s latest album, 808s and Heartbreak.

The video is a strong parody of Kanye West’s  not so great performance at SNL, which you can check it out at DailyMotion. And apparently his pitch vocal auto-correctors,  reportedly, weren’t functioning properly that performance.

While many of us are patiently awaiting the official reveal of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in next months issue of Game Informer, in the next episode of the popular gaming magazine EGM, the official video game for the upcoming movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be revealed.

The issue reveals the real-time in-game healing system, the accessible combat system, and some information on a boss fight with the first Sentinel prototype.

There is also an interview with Raven about a few of Origins influences – like God of War and Super Smash Bros. – and a new approach to seamless cinematic in-game cut-scenes that bridge bits of gameplay. There was also some talk about it being the Ninja Gaiden of Wolverine.

Recently, there was also an interview with Jeff Katz, occasional comics writer, by MTV and he stated something about the game.

“A couple of the Fox execs, myself and a couple of the principles involved [in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'], we’re all gamers,” said Katz. “So when it came to the Wolverine movie game, it was like, Let’s do the coolest possible version of an X-Men game.”

Last week, we were all shocked by the news that Don Cheadle, who we seen in movies like Hotel Rwanda and Crash, had been signed to replace Terence Howard in Iron Man 2: The Movie. The speculation was that Marvel had a falling out with the actor over his salary requirements that was needed for him to be apart of the movie. When NPR spoke to Howard on the replacement he explained his confusion over the entire situation.

“Yeah, I found that out, too,” said Howard. “It was the surprise of a lifetime. There was no explanation. Just…up and vanished. I read something in the trades implicating that it was about money or something. But apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren’t worth the paper that they’re printed on, sometimes. Promises aren’t kept, and good faith negotiations aren’t always held up. Even friendships, people you support…”-Terence Howard

The last Street Fighter movie was downright atrocious, but that doesn’t always mean that you should give up on the game as a movie series, or does it? We all may know as Steven E. de Souza has the guy who messed up with the games creditable as a film back in 1994. Well, when he was speaking to the guys at MTV’s Movie Blog he said that “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li,” will be better then the first movie which was simply entitled “Street Fighter”.

“When we were making the original one, they insisted that all of the characters be in the movie,” de Souza remembered with a sigh. “And if you do the math, that gives you about 7 minutes per character if you split it up equally.”

“I’m envious of this group, because they’re able to construct a movie around a single character rather than a three-ring circus that needs to be lassoed with the story,” he insisted. “It’s a rich universe, and I think it can support all of these versions.”

I remember not so long ago that Lionsgate was shooting for a PG-13 rating for Punisher: War Zone, which was reported by Latino Review. Now, today according to CHUD, the movie, Punisher: War Zone, has recieved a R-rating for, “pervasive strong brutal violence, language and some drug use.” Also by the video shown at Comic Con we can tell that this movie wasn’t going to be all sunshine and rainbows. The movie was rated by the MPAA, Motion Picture Association of America, and we all know that there was going to be drugs in this movie because lets face it, it’s The Punisher. The language we can understand because it will just and to the fact that this movie is about Killers and Kingpins and that will just add to that fact.

Announced in October of 2007, Resident Evil: Degeneration is already set to make it’s first global showing at TGS, Tokyo Game Show, on October the 10. Also on November 13th the video game movie is set to make it’s apparent at the Horror Film Festival in New York, which is in the US. Here’s a little statement on the game from the press release about the game:

For a game that’s anything but funny this game sure has alot of hype behind it and this is a survival horror game that you don’t want to miss. Today, Electronic Arts revealed that it’s hit survival horror, Dead Space, has gone gold and will ship in North America on October 14 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. They also revealed that the PC version will ship on October 20. Also people who buy within the first two weeks of the game’s release will have the opportunity to download a platform exclusive suit.

In addition, for Xbox 360 owners in North America, the EA Store is offering a very limited run of 1000 copies of the Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition. This package contains a copy of the game, Dead Space Downfall Animated Movie on DVD, bonus content DVD, 97-page art book, the 160-page graphic novel (which combines all six issues of the Dead Space comics), exclusive lithograph illustrated and individually signed by Ben Templesmith, and an Ishimura crew patch, all sealed in a limited edition Dead Space packaging. The Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition will be available on the Xbox 360 for MSRP $149.95.

There have been many Dragonball games, but what will make this one any different? According to Playthings, Fox appointed Gary Rosenfeld to the position of Senior Vice President of New Media Licensing, a role with oversight of the studio’s portfolio of video game projects and management responsibility for Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising’s (Fox L&M) games development staff. Rosenfeld is planning explore opportunities in the growing PC online game space and investigate new business models and partnerships in the console publishing area.

A handful of Fox properties will make it to the top of his list as he begins this new endeavor, starting with the studio’s major upcoming film releases and television brands, including Avatar, Night at the Museum – The Battle Of The Smithsonian, Ice Age 3, Dragonball, The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Rumors. You hate them, you love them and you cannot live without them. Many of you may have already guest by the title that this story has something to do with about the upcoming Captain America movie. Well, your right. Yesterday, a rumor surfaced on the web quoting actor Derek Luke acknowledging that he heard that Will Smith would be acting as one of Americas most beloved super hero’s, Captain America, in the upcoming movie, The First Avenger: Captain America. Today, the rumor was quickly shot down by AICN, which claims that Marvel never entertained Smith as a choice. So now that the rumor has been killed the only thing to do is to wait and watch. The movie will be directed by Nick Cassavetes and is set for a May 6, 2011 release.

3D Realms really loves movies so they have decided to move their well known franchise, Duke Nukem, to the big screen. To help with this big screen move they have decided to pick a very responsible man Scott Faye will be taking on this big project. If you don’t know Faye, he has worked on the upcoming future blockbuster Max Payne, starring Mark Wahlberg. “I am already working on building a scenario that does justice to the game, as Duke Nukem is one of the most important franchises in the history of video games,” Said Faye. As producer he will work very close with Scott Miller,3D Realms, to ensure that this movie is done right. Even if it takes 10 years to make this movie as gamers we would rather have a great movie then a bad one.

Sometime last month we got the chance to see the latest photos from the set of the upcoming video game movie adaption, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. In the photos we saw Jake Gyllenhall, who we saw in movies like Zodiac and Jarhead, making his way to the set to film a part of the movie in his costume with no shirt on. As many of you know the pictures turned the movie/gaming world over getting featured on almost every movie/gaming site on the web. Today, according to photo gain by Korben, which show parts of the set being made or set up, the film is really going to be something amazing.

It sure does take alot of work to be the greatest Lara Croft you can be. In a new trailer just in from Eidos Interactive we get a inside look at what we can expect from the next installment in the Tomb Raider franchise currently in the works at Crystal Dynamics. In the early information we have been given, from top down you can tell that the game will be action-pack. While Lara will have her signature dual guns she will also have to depend on her physical strength and the environment along with her archaeological tools to complete her mission. Lara leads a quest that circles the world to uncover the secrets of the Norse underworld and a forgotten power that if unleashed could lay waste to all civilization. Tomb Raider: Underworld will hit the store shelves across the world on November 21st.

Black Box, a studio apart of EA, today announced that Need for Speed Undercover is scheduled for release this holiday season. But, in the games recently release teaser trailer it showed a November 18th release date, which counts as the holiday season. Along with this announcement Black Box studios also revealed that Maggie Q will play as a lead character in the live-action sequences in the story mode.

“Need for Speed Undercover features a deep and engaging story of spectacular Hollywood-style live-action that will transport players into the fictional world of the Tri-City Bay Area,” said Bill Harrison, Need for Speed Undercover Executive Producer. “Working with talent the calibre of Maggie Q allows us to deliver an unparalleled level of storytelling that will keep players engaged in between 180-mile-an-hour races.”

Maggie Q, who has starred in Mission Impossible III and Live Free or Die Hard, plays Federal Agent Chase Linh, a seductive handler who recruits and guides players as they go undercover to stop a racing circuit. Players will take on dangerous jobs and compete races in order to infiltrate and takedown a ruthless international crime syndicate.

“I’ve always been a fan of racing games and working on Need for Speed Undercover was an amazing experience,” said Maggie Q. “I was so impressed by the scope and quality of the overall production that goes into a videogame these days. It was like any other day on a Hollywood set; I felt right at home. The Black Box team is doing tremendous work here and I can’t wait to see the final game.”

When talking with the Quantum of Solace producer, Garrett Young, in an interview he said that he’s “not super impressed” with The Bourne Conspiracy (Video Game). When asked about what he thought of the Bourne Conspiracy video game, Young said “we did download the demo, we did look at it, like we do anything that’s new and coming out,” he explained. “Turok we played and other things that are new, we played GTA… But… yeah… not super impressed with the game… it’s always tough though when you make a game and you don’t have the lead character from the movie.”

Quantum of Solace, which is also known as James Bond: Quantum of Solace The Video Game, is the upcoming video game base of the up and coming James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. The game is the first James Bond title to be published by Activision, which acquired the video game license for the Bond franchise back in 2006. The license was recently owned by EA a video game developer, marketer, publisher, and distributor.

According to member on the IGN Boards, he was watching G4 The Dark Knight preview with Kristin Holt interviewing Gary Oldman, who plays Jim Gordon in the movie. In the preview Gary Oldman told Kristin with loose lips that there really is “a Dark Knight Game in the works.” In the preview he joked about a “small scene in the game about his character on a roof top all alone while Batman jumped off the building and opened his wings to fly away to save the day.” He also talked about how it will look when Batman glides in the game. The game is set to be released around the same time as the DVD, near the end of this year.

At it’s midnight showing The Dark Knight grossed in an estimated $18.5 million, that’s the most ever for midnight showing in a long time. The last movie to hold this record was Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith, which grossed $16.9 million. And the lastest movie to hold this record was Spider-Man 3 which made 59.8 million in it’s opening day and by the looks of things The Dark Knight will be breaking that very soon. While some experts say that this movie is expected to gross $170 million, it may have done that by the time this story is posted.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Swedish developer Grin is currently working with Universal on a Wanted movie based video game. The movie has taken over USD 192 million at the box office since release. The game will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

“From the time we read the script and saw the film’s pre-visual material, it was clear that Wanted was a powerful property – one that was well poised to deliver an engaging gaming experience,” commented Bill Kispert, VP and general manager for Universal Pictures.

Pete Wanat will work with Grin as executive game producer, who previously worked on movie games like The Thing, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and Scarface: The World is Yours.

According to Variety , Capcom is teaming up with producer Avi Arad to bring the Lost Planet movie adaptation to life. The movie is set to be part of a distribution deal with Warner Bros. Along with the news we got word that David Hayter , which was aready know by the rumor posted on the net, will be the writing the script for the movie. Arad will be producing the movie with his son Ari in partnership with Steven Paul through Seaside Entertainment. We are still waiting for officail word from Capcom about the movie.

Not so long ago we reported that David Hayter would be working a deal with Warner Bros. to induce Capcom’s Lost Planet to the big screen. Now, a rumor has been spotted up on the internet that advises the Lost Planet movie adaptation will be coming our way in 2011.

According to 1UP, the Lost Planet movie adaptation will be coming our way in 2011, or in other words the movie will be seen for the first time in theaters some in late, mid or early 09.  Many rumors have been going around that the movie would indeed be coming to life on the big screen, and many sources state that Warner Bros. will indeed be the distributor, with Capcom and Seaside Films co-producing the adaptation in to film. But, for now this is still a rumor so until E3 there is still no official word on the movie so far, so we still need to wait.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is currently out for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

According to an article posted by IGN (Joystiq ), veteran voice actor/screenwriter David Hayter revealed a deal with Warner Bros. to bring Capcom’s Lost Planet to the big screen. Bring Lost Planet closer to fruition than previously thought. Hayter told IGN that "It’s not entirely confirmed yet," he goes on to say "we are just closing the deal with Warner Bros. for me to adapt Lost Planet." But, unfortunately due to Hayter’s contractual agreements, IGN was unable to obtain more specific information about the film. Just keep E3 as an open window for an announcement.

In the article Hayter goes on to talking about his Hayter’s approach to adopting games to film here’s what he had to say "There is gap in Hollywood between people who write good movies and those who appreciate good video games," he said. "I’m fortunate enough to be in both worlds. For myself, I try to make an effort to take the essence of the game, keep as much of that as possible, and still put it into a proper film structure."

If you didn’t know by now, The Dark Knight (movie) will be coming to theaters near you very soon with advertisements for this promising movie popping up almost anywhere. According to a rumor posted on the SarcasticGamer website, the voice of Sam Fisher will not be making his return in latest Splinter Cell installment. Sam Fisher was voiced by Michael Ironside, and it seems that an internal dispute is paving the way for a new voice talent in coming Splinter Cell games. According to inside sources at Ubisoft, Ironside and Ubisoft have been at odds for some time:

"He was getting to way too egotistical about the project and extremely difficult to work with. He was also asking for a sh*t load of money… He pretty much tied his own noose."

No official reply from Ubisoft on this matter, but that’s probably because Conviction remains very much up in the air.

According to producer Patrick Aiello, Ryu and Ken will not be featured in the latest Street Fighter movie. Here’s what he had to say:

"Capcom got together and decided to make it more of an origin story for Chun Li. There are just way too many characters in the Street Fighter universe to cram them all into one film. We want to do each one the justice he/she deserves. So, in short, Ken and Ryu will not be appearing in this film. But, that doesn’t mean we wont see our red and white-clad heroes in potential sequels… "

To many gamers Code Monkeys is known as the first show to represent the gaming as a whole. Unless your a self-closed person who has not watched G4, devoted to the world of video games and the video game lifestyle, you haven’t been exposed to Code Monkeys which is bad. This South Park and 8-bit Mario style show is pure gaming genius.

For those who never seen the show, June 1′s second-season premiere can’t come with perfect timing Code Monkeys takes place at GameaVision, an ’80s company that makes Atari 2600-type games with 8-bit point-and-click design.

The humor in Code Monkeys is mostly grounded in toilet humor and black comedy, but some of the show’s jokes stem from its numerous references to 1980s video games, including Castlevania , Mega Man , Contra , Ikari Warriors , Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! , Super Mario Bros. and others. With blood, puke, drug use and more sexual innuendo than you can shake at.

The main plot of this of this episode takes place when the company loses they insurance by there provider  and each character must submit a psychiatric evaluation. Today, DREAMWORKS and PARAMOUNT PICTURES announced that Transformers will be headed to Blu-Ray this September as a two disc special edition Blu-Ray movie. There was no information about what would be contained in the special edition movie combo but many would speculate that there would be a trailer for the upcoming Transformers 2 movie.

There was word at GDC that there was a Uncharted 2 in the works, other then that we have not gain word that if the rumor is official.

Today, we got news that Iron Man has made over $100.8 Million in ticket sales, or in other words, alot of money. The official new poster for The Dark Knight has been uncovered thanks to one for our featured readers. Now we don’t normally talk about movies that don’t relate to gaming but, this is just on movie that we couldn’t pass up. The poster was found on a viral marketing website called WhySoSerious.com. This week in the box office the teen horror remake Prom Night , took first place in the box office. Taking out the competition with an amazing $22.7 million ticket sold. Personally i’m not in shock that Prom Night sold that much tickets, the plot was really something that people wanted to go see and most teens are most teens going crazy for this movie.

In the game you play as The Hulk, a Marvel superhero, and you go around smashing buildings. The Incredible Hulk (Video Game) follow the events of the movie as Bruce Banner as he trys to rid of the Hulk. Hollywood movie star hunk Orlando Bloom has NOT landed the lead role in Disney’s new adventure trilogy Prince of Persia . The deal is reported to be worth $40 million. 31-year-old Orlando Bloom has star in movie like Pirates of the Caribbean, which did  good in the box office. He has beaten competition like Zac Efron to take the lead role in the movie adaptation of the Prince of Persia . The flim is said to be directed by Jerry Bruckheimer and is due to begin filming in July.

Abrams, who worked on movies like Mission: Impossible III and Armageddon. The movie follows five New Yorkers who has throw their friend a going-away party on the same night that a big monster attacks the city.

JoBlo has posted the set pictures for the upcoming Dragonball movie, set to hit theaters on April 3, 2009. This is  first real glimpse into the aesthetic of the film. The flim is being directed by James Wong and Stephen Chow and stars Justin Chatwin as Goku.
