Things I Can’t Game Without

For some overly complicated reason, throughout gaming, there has been a distant line between the graphical user interface and the user — especially when it comes to typing anything. However, all that changed when Microsoft the introduced the Chatpad, a device which merges the keyboard and controller seamlessly into one.

In this article, I’ll be addressing why I can’t game without accessories like the Chatpad, and why they’re so important to my gaming experience.

Since I’ve been gaming with the Chatpad, it’s no longer a daunting task to type a message, especially when you’re in need of the full 140 characters. Personally, I can’t game without the Chatpad device around, especially when I’m online. Because, not only is a great device for messaging, it makes using Facebook, Twitter and even navigating the dashboard much easier on the consoles.

I also can’t game without any controller in hand. You see, I’m not particularly fond of the keyboard gaming experience; the only possible way I can even game on PC is with a controller. It’s funny because I find that the console experience has spoiled me a bit, even if there are more options available when using a keyboard.

In addition to a controller, I also can’t game — especially online — without my Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 headset around. The headset is a universal headset, works on both consoles and PC. The headset rivals any home entertainment system, especially in games like Call of Duty and Gears of War where the sound is an intricate part of the overall experience. This headset is heavy at all and, once you have placed it on, it’s like gaming in your own personal space, which is nice if you’re living with other people.

These are the three things — the Chatpad, a controller and my Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 headphones — I can’t see myself gaming without. These devices are critical to my gaming experience because they both enhance and give an element of ease when I’m gaming.
