It’s clear that — though most still support it — the latest Modern Warfare installment fell short of expectations. That said, many have been “jumping ship” onto the highly anticipated Medal of Honor reboot. Anyway, according to Electronic Arts, Medal of Honor will launch on October 12th in North America.
Inspired by real events, Medal of Honor reveals “the mission[s] of today’s most elite soldier” – his will, his mindset and his uncompromising professionalism. You see, the development team, composed of both EA Los Angeles and DICE, have been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the US Special Operations Community to create the most authentic modern war experience, ever.
“Medal of Honor is an authentic look into today’s war. Inspired by real people and real events, the game puts players in the boots of today’s warrior — from the infantry ground ponder to the Tier 1 Operator,” said exclusive producer Greg Goodrich. “We are proud of this piece because it offers a glimpse into the game we’re creating, while also showing the mindset of these warriors.”
Along with this announcement, a trailer was shown of a U.S. Army Ranger platoon heading into combat aboard a helicopter. The chaos and uncertainty of the mission is belied by the reassuring voice of one of the Rangers as he reaches out to his family back home.
