Though they’ve gained stability in the gaming market, Wedbush industry analyst Michael Pachter believes that, when it comes to the handheld market, Sony is heading into a “brink wall” — considering that the PSP Go recently tanked, and that other companies have been gaining an advantage in the handheld market.
According to our friends at TheLostGamer, while commending them for capturing an older audience in the handheld market, Pachter said that the PSP is “way more robust as a device than perhaps most consumers are ready for.”
The price point of the PSP Go has often been a sore point, and the fact that most PSP titles cost more than those available through places like iTunes, Pachter believes that “Sony is running into a brick wall” when it comes to garbing the attention of the consumer; Sony doesn’t make the pricing affordable to the consumer.
