RE5: Alternative Edition Has “Top To Bottom” Motion Control
If you were wondering how much motion control Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition would use, Capcom’s PR (Public Relations) boss Chris Kramer relayed to GameTrailers that Alternative Edition, the motion controlled version of Resident Evil 5 for PlayStation 3, will use motion control “from top to bottom” – meaning for all movement featured in the game.
“They’re going to be using motion controller on PS3 from top to bottom, going in from movement to combat,” Kramer told GT. “I’ll be very interested to see it in practice.” During the interview, Kramer did note that he hasn’t seen Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition fully using motion control, however, he did say that, that’s what they told him.
Kramer then went onto talk about Capcom using Natal in future games. “I haven’t heard anything about Natal right now,” he continued. “The team’s said it’s focusing on motion control support for the PlayStation 3 platform, and they’re thinking very hard about what they can offer to be of an equal level of interest for 360 players.”
