it just sucks because no more Hideo. 360 ppl have been whining for so damn long to have an MGS come to the xbox. you know, i rarely hear any ps3 owners wanting Halo or Gears of War. But how often do you hear xbox ppl saying they want MGS or infamous or final fantasy or god of war. i personally hope that MGS Rising sucks. Just in spite of all the crazy people who want an MGS game on the 60. if they were to bring MGS4, which they will never do, to the 360, then it would have to be 12 discs!! no joke! i used to be an xbox guy, but i recently purchased a PS3 orignally for blu ray watching capabilities. but now i am realized that it is a far superior system.
ANYWAY, i just think that its a shame because the xbox ppl won’t get to experience the true glory that is the metal gear franchise.

Well it may look better but it will lose its essense somehow as hd dvd cant handle all the data stuffed into a blu ray TRUST ME and ps3 is superior and way more powerful and you wont get the 10-20 minutes long movies and so this MGS wont be same and real MGS can only be made on the SONY’s Playstations………….

does it really matter what systems this new metal gear solid is on. if it does, then who cares its a brand new metal gear. why do people bother on what system is the best. the games are what matters, who cares about graphics and space when the game sucks. just stop arguing and play what ever the F*ck you want to.

PS3SUCKSFOREVER and YoullNeverGoBack make a valid statement and i agree with both of you. These consoles are so silly and people should enjoy the games not the console. Look at the dreamcast, the PS2 killed it yet it still has a library of great games that can be enjoyed even today. Look at the N64 people fought over the PSone but both consoles had great games. Same with last gen look at the Awesome games the ps2 had like FF10 and GoW1+2 and the xbox with halo 1+2 and KoToR 1+2 and even the gamecube with RE4, Rogue Leader and Metroid and mario. All wonderful games. Im a PC gamer and i can appreciate the creativity developers put into making these games a reality no matter what system they are release on. If money is a problem then get a 2nd or 3rd job so you can enjoy if not enjoy what you have and let others do the same.

go there if you want to compare 360 and ps3. both have advantages and disadvantages. 360 has a better gpu and ps3 has a more powerful cpu or something. anyways, the ps3 having blu-ray is an advantage only that the game will just be one disc. the disadvantage for 360 for only dvd is it’s going to be multi-disc. it doesn’t mean that the 360 will not have as much textures and details. it just takes more discs. just think about it, it’s like comparing someone with an 8 gig sd card vs someone with 4 2 gig sd cards. they both have the capability to hold as much photos as each other. one just has more sd cards. so again blu-ray memory argument doesn’t hold up as well.

PS3SUCKSFOREVER is right besides his user name. I’m thinking his username was intentional to make a point about the fanboys crapping their pants over someone making fun of there system. Ex. Mario Pacheco, I have a 360 and tried the PS3 but nothing really appealed to me, i just use it to store movies and music and play Blue ray and use my 360 only for gaming. Is that a sin? NO!, will someone out there wet there pants cuz i prefer the 360 over ps3? YES! Not everyone is MATURE, and many of the ones going ape over defending there consoles do in fact sound and look retarded, its a simple plastic toy with cool features to allow us to entertain ourselfs, just imagine if we had flamewars over who has a better deck of poker cards or chess board or checkers board or “my monopoly board game is better than yours”. See how ridicules that sounds? Sure there pros and cons for each system but in the end, its all the same for the same purpose, to entertain people!

The PS3 is notoriously difficult as a developer platform, whilst the 360 ports of to a DX10 PC quite nicely.

I have a Wii, a 360, and I’ve played with the PS3. And truthfully, they are all just horrible. Wii is trying to introduce my grandma to gaming rather than focusing on the people who will actually play. The 360 has a shit-ton of hardware issues, all of its accessories are way over-priced, and it’s charging for online play. And the PS3, at first it was way over any sane person’s budget, that’s changing though, but I still don’t really care for the PS3’s line up of games, there hasn’t really been an exclusive that made me want to buy the system. So, really, I think in the gaming world, everyone gets screwed over.

i agree that both systems have higher components. saying that since i own both somethings are noticable between the two. although the ps3 is a graphical and processing powerhouse, what difference does it make if the developer isnt utilizing the full capacity of the disc?

PC’s are not limited, they are upgradable, and constantly evolving in technology, unlike consoles which are stuck at one preset (and quickly outdated) configuration.

Yeah, but Sony still can’t get anti-aliasing right. Even after 3 generations. I played Infamous and I was disgusted at how jaggy the game was. It completely ruined the 1080i experience for me. Why own a PS3 and an HDTV when the games still look like some Photoshop novice made all the models and textures? How is it that Smash Brothers on Wii has better anti-aliasing than “graphical powerhouses” such as Infamous?

However to it’s defense, I did not play MGS4 on an HD so I can’t tell if jaggies are an issue there, but if you’re going to argue graphics and make claims over BluRay and multithreading and fanboyism, please take a look at the current crop of PS3 games that have horrible jaggy issues.

I haven’t experienced much, if all, with a 360.

@XeXeXe: That’s because developers are too lazy to put the effort in to make a decent PS3 port. Look at the PS3 exclusive’s and compare them to the 360 exclusives.

I’m fairly certain you’re wrong, XeXeXe.

Bluray holds a lot more than a DVD. About 5-6 times, if i’m not mistaken. That’s more space for sharper textures. We’re not even getting into the multithreading the PS3 has, which is one of the reasons the new Intel i7 chips are faster than the older Q series.

I personally believe your subjectivity in the matter has clouded the fact that you are an undeniable 360 fan boy. The PS3 has the hardware advantage here, whether you acknowledge it or not.
