I dont believe that it ruines Resident Evil but I do believe that it is a mistake to start a reboot when the story isnt finish as they believe it is cause 1 there are still characters that have not been mentioned whats become of them now there are characters that have been left in the dark we dont know how their endings went also if you remember Sherry Birkin was captured by Wesker what became of her and other characters that have been mentioned through out the game I say we must know what became of all the characters that are still around before there should be a reboot

Although i feel that resident evil 4 was the first of its kind, im highly dissapointed to hear of this complete reboot…ive enjoyed playing these games since i was 10 or 11…im 25 now! So obviously what capcom is doing they’re doing it right. Yes the story line in 5 is very similar to 4 and the controls and camera operation could have used a little work but all in all these are professionals who know how to create a good game and thats eactly what they did. To myself and every other die hard evil fan, a complete reboot is very heartbreaking. Perhaps leave the characters and turn the story in a new direction while adding some playable characters we havent heard from in a while like barry, and rebecca chambers. Regardless what the decision is im sure the guys at capcom will continue to amaze us!

That ruins it for me. To me Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire..etc. Thats what Resident evil is. I dont think they realize a “reboot” as he calls it, is gonna be the downfall of Resident Evil. He better hope there is enough new comers to fill the fans place. ill never understand why humans insist on fixing things that aren’t broke. We never learn.
