This Thanksgiving season was a not a pretty one for this seasoned voice actor. After being shot during the Mumbai terror’s attack last month in India, Michael Rudder was released from an Indian hospital yesterday morning.
Upon his release, he was greeted by his loving friends and family – while in a wheelchair.
When in the wheelchair Rudder expresses his love, saying that he received a “great gift” from his experience.
He also said he owed a debt of gratitude for the “enormous outpouring of love” he received from people all over the world after the attacks. “I’m going to get a sign that says ‘World’s luckiest guy,’” Rudder said, most likely, with a smile.
He also offered a prayer for the people of India still reeling from the deadly series of attacks that rocked the country’s financial capital and left more than 170 people dead.
Rudder survived by playing dead in a pool of his own blood before being rescued. Rudder, along with his acting work, has also worked on a long list of video games, including Splinter Cell. While he is recuperating, we hope that he has a safe recovery that gets him back on his feet doing what he does best.
