Woo friggin hooo! i love TDU yet it still has its share of problems. I hope this time round Eden takes their time to perfect an absolute jewel of a game. For instance:

- Selecting the car you want from your various houses was always a chore, hopefully organising garages becomes easier too.

- An option to turn both traffic and cops off would be great for uniterrupted freeroaming.

- In multiplayer when flashed by another for an instant challenge always conflicted with manual gearbox operation

There are more for sure, you get the idea. SO no rush this Eden, just make sure its perfect, pretty pleeeease!

I love this game! but I would love to see more than three stores to buy clothes from. also I love the free roam that there’s no personality for the cars. lets have some aftermarket and graphics. no tuning packages. buy your own friggin parts and make your car the fastest on the street. I would love to turbo some of those cars on the first one.

people should be able to get out of their cars…you should be able to go by your friends house and pick them up and just cruise around the map…suv’s would be even better…you could pick up more friends…maybe the can use the cell phone feature like the one used in gta to communicate..

Also, there should be more customization options for the vehicles…rims, paint, window tint, spoiler kits, exhaust, engine swaps…basically just combine the customization used in gt, forza with test drives social simulator and you have yourself a winner…add the function of using your signal lights and improve the AI of the police like have them posted up to catch speeders or people running red lights and also the good ol hit and runs. oh yea, add damage to vehicles too…

Also refueling your car, car washes, more than 8 people in a room, more songs on the soundtrack, requirement of a certain rank to buy certain cars( I hate how everyone, even pros, drive saleen s7’s around), Somewhat of a story this time, all the cars in the first game and more like the caparo t1, rossion q1, pagani zonda f, buggati veyron, the new caterham csr, vector w8 twin turbo, vector m12, toyota gt1, mazda furia, audi r4, radical sr3, radical sr9 lmp2, and maserati gran turismo s. A feature so your friends will be the priority in being in your room, bigger variety of online races and a split screen mode. Man… I’m getting excited :]

I think they sould have the Ferrari Enzo, the Porshe GT3 and Cayenne GT,Maserratis,the Corvette Zo6,Lambergheni Reniva’tion, Bentleys,the new Camaro Concept, the Dodge Challenger Concept, and the Jaguer XXE in the next game.

It would be asome to get out of your car,and if your playing offline your car souldn’t be the only cool car on the road.It would also be great if even you have a Viper or somthing you coud trick it out with siccor doors and if you could chose betreen a cope or an roadster if it’s avalable.

first off there were ferraris in the first one, all the ones you named (i think) if not, most of the important ones (f40, enzo, challenge, few more) just need an f50. NO THIS GAME DOES NOT NEED GAS OR TUNING OPTIONS ITS NOT CALLED RICER WORLD SO GO BACK TO PLAYING NFS if thats what you wANT.!! THEYLL MOST likely have RUFS, nd im not sure about bmws, pgr3, gran turismo and forza had em but theyr only supposed to be in EA’s games. The real problems need to be fixed which i believe are – Crappy roads (not smooth enough), all of the speedometers need to wor), and S7s& skylines shouldnt be dominating the tracks with alot of turns. Its ridiculous how a GTR can beat ferraris, maseratis and so on. Would like to see Keonigsegg CCX, SSC Super Aero, and Veyron.That would be awesome

i think beemer’s wuld be amazing but unfortunatly i don’t think there will be :(:(. shuld definately get the car sounds sorted out (especially the jaguar XK and all of the merc’s) and the stupid stick shift gearbox in manual mode which is totally useless. more cars definately, keep the alfa romeo 8c obviously, shelby gt500 (modern and old) and some tuners like the toyota supra and mazda rx-7, rx-8 that would be good but not too many so its not like NFS, but still a couple. MORE HOT HATCHES please, loved them in TDU like the golf but need the renaultsport megane, clio, focus ST, seat leon, alfa 147 GTA, S3, abarth 500, mini cooper S, works cooper S, civic type R, classic cooper S, 80’s pugs and the metro rally version. night time would be AMAZING and rain would be awesome and, depending on the location, snow. Of course u will need some exotics like, lamborghini gallardo: superleggera, LP560-4, convertable, normal. Ferrari F430: scuderia, hardtop, soft-top. murcielago: lp640, roadster, hard-top.mercedes CLK black version and SL black. Aston martin’s: DBS, DB9, V8 vantage hard-top and soft-top, DB5, DB6, classic V8 vantage. Also sort out some car design faults like the murcielago and DB9’s. Tah very much

I heard that another 7 cars were confirmed, but I don’t know which, ony one i am sure of and that’s the
Rolls Royce, (dont know if its phantom, sure hope so ), but the others i gotta look into it a bit more and find out.

My thoughts,

Abviously, the realism in the game stands out. Everyone likes the realism. So, why not put in a few of the realistic options. Just cruising around makes TDU.

Gas – Why? Cause you can’t run a car with out it.
Gas stations that work – This stands for pitstops, cruising, Everyday driving.
Damage to your own vehicle – This would make one have to pay more attention for sure.
Cruise control – Ability to hit the brake to take cruise control off makes it more realistic.
Race tracks – Indy, Dirt, Drag racing, and others and also Entering a race with your car. Ability to Watch other races in the stands. Pay for the ticket. Pay for entry fee’s. No indy cars on the roads, only on the race tracks.
Sponcerships – “This applies to the race tracks” Loosing and Picking up sponcers.
New Tires – You get the idea of this one.
Weather – A must have. What fun it would be to race aroud slick streets. Make sure it’s not raining every hr. Make it more realistic times. A day rain then not for another week. You get the idea.
Racing with the ability to select Weather conditions.
Day / Night – Can’t figure this one out then I can’t help you.
Vehicle washing
Visiting other ppl’s houses – Suggestions of the above.
Trophies – Dates, Places, Current/Former champion. Ability to defend your championships. If in so many days that you do not defend it you are stripped of being champion and it goes up for grabs. Typical champion rules.
Lights, windshield wipers, sun roofs, convertables that work.
More motorcycles – Harley’s, Custom(choppers), and so forth.
Abiltiy to be a cop.
None realistic times be erraced – Doing the Around the island race in 1sec is not realistic.
Settings to Racng others only in your class and or rank.
IMPROVING the ONLINE GRAPHICS – Having glitches while racing is annoying.
NO LOADING TIMES
EXPANSION PACKS – This is for your benifit. Improving the game while being live is always great.

Some might be far fetched and some are not. Can’t wait for the next release.

EA Games? When was the last time they produced a decent racing game? I think it was in 1994 when the first Need for Speed came out on 3DO. Without the help from Road & Track, EA would have been lost like they are now. Undercover? WTF? I thought it was underground. How many games can duplicate the fast and the furious? Street gang idiots and tuner cars is what EA thinks is going to make them money.

On a serious note, I’ve heard that TDU 2 will not be released due to Atari going bankrupt. I just hope EA doesn’t buy the rights to TDU and mess up another good title.

ssc aero, veyron ripoff since they cant put a veyron, keep the mclaren F1s, and a ccx… Lambo Reventon, zondaF, and Ascari A10.
and if theyr gonna make off road trucks, please no pavement pounders(escalade, h2, ect). please no rice rockets, it ruins the feel of the game. NO FUEL OPTION, unnessecary. add the Hemi Cuda, old GTX/O, cougar eliminator, boss429/302, cool old muscle cars and for the hell of it a Caparo T1. hope they make the handling more realistic, let you use the windshield wipers, and make the headlights easier to keep on. hotter girls, harder police and people on the sidewalks(not sure how theyd pull off that one). that about sums it up for me

oh forgot… make the roads smoother, make sure all the gauges work properly, and theres really no need for so many saleen mustangs,
just put in the S281 Extreme, new shelby gt500, and the standard ford stang gt. and an SVT Cobra R would be nice

i think you should have to pay for repairs to your cars and refil the tank with petrol or diesel which brings me to the point diesel cars please on some cars lyk the Audi Q7 V12 TDI. also when buying your car being able to choose the engine would be nice for example size and fuel type. ooooo and BMW’s!!

the twenty things that i think would make this the best game ever.

first i think that a must have for this game is a traffic and cops on/off switch b/c the cops were really annoying.

second blah blah more cars no friggin way. but! how about planes and boats and fourwheelers and dirtbikes? i think that would be awesome!

thrid vehicle damage, gas refill, and getting out of the car/having passengers.

fourth a full modification process. colors, decals, parts, nos, tires, rims, eveything.

fith REAL drifting. im sorry to say but it sucked balls in the first one.

sixth maybe being able to walk around your house and furnish it or display trophys.

seventh off roading. off road races would be sweet along with air and water races. the ability to go anywhere unresticted over a massive landscape is a games dream. doing it at high speed makes it even better.

eigth a diverse, not completely flat not too mountanous city with varying street grades and both rougher gravel roads and perfect pavemant.

ninth extreme detail. working headlights, convertible tops, windshield wipers, active suspension, burnout debris everything.

tenth day and night, weather systems disasters. yes i want hurricanes, floods, tornados, fires, earthquakes, and everything inbetween.

eleventh formula racing. f1 cars should be avialable once you reach a certain rank. im not saying they should be street legal (would be fun though) but some dedicated tracks for high payout races.

tweth police equiptment. first off accurate cruising and pursuit cars. then spike strips, choppers, barricades and the like.

thirteenth more ways to get money. say u total your car early on and cant repair it? you couldnt race for it so new ways of many makin is a must. maybe gambling or odd jobs around the city.

fourteenth worldwide capabilities. why stay in one are/island/wherever this game takes place. add airlines to take you to america or germany or wherever you wanna go.

fifteenth u should be able to have sponsors. this would be a great way to earn revenue to repair a car if u dont have the cash. have a fixed income from your sponsor as long as meet a certain number of race wins ?monthly?. also keep earning even when the game is off sorta like fable 2.

sixteenth have a race team. hire a racer buy him a car and have them do out and do some of the less important races for you, while you take care of the big island races.

seventeenth a living backround. police chases going on between ped cars, accidents, cars going into driveways, and so on.

eigtheenth exstensive rocordings for ALL cars individually to dial in on that perfect engine tone.

nineteenth more online and multiplay options for racing.

twentyith the most incredible graphics you can possibly muster. perhaps on separate discs but still.

and thats all i can think of for now.

Cool, but they should make a test drive that you can drive all over the world. Double it as a flight+driving simulator. Boeing, Cesna, F22 raptor etc.

That would be really fun.

Also I want to add that this should be released on the PS3 this time around as well since I no longer have a 360 *poor thing finally gave up on me * . And all developers should cater to me.

I want to take back what I said in an earlier post and say that the Buggatti Veyron should not be in this game. Reason: Almost everyone will be in it (Like the Saleen S7 on the original game) Plus the Buggatti is only good for going in a staight line. Don’t believe me? Check it’s time on the nurb.

get your head out of the clouds. the only things that needs to be improved are the roads and some driving realism, plus ofcourse adding more cars. and if you really want more locations i think you could limmit those to some more islands of Hawaii.

The first game was near perfect. The only two additions they should make are, damage on the cars and customization. Not extreme customization, but being able to go to a rim store and buying new rims and being able to lower cars would be cool to. Most of the higher end cars on the game don’t have have many aftermarket visual mods anyways so that wouldn’t be that big of a feature. For those of you who want to be able to walk around in the house and get out of the car, if you wanna do that go play the sims or grand theft auto. This game was designed to be an open world racing game with hundreds of miles of roads to explore and race, not so you can pretend this is your life and not the boring ones most people live.

By the way Rory you need to do your research, the Aero TT is not faster than the Bugatti Veyron. The only car that has been claimed to be faster than the Bugatti, is the Barabus TKR and those are only by numbers that the manufacturer listed from their tests. It has never been tested by any other source.

For dodges, there should be the dodge charger, caliber, magnum, and the viper SRT10 ACR

Off road races would be interesting challenge. For the off road they should include mud running with trucks and SUVs!

ok to all yall who say there needs to be H2’s and H3’s go ride a donkey dick. there is and only will be one true hummer the H1. the new hummers cant go everywhere the original can, hints why alot are being resold. although they should add alot more chevy’s and nissan’s to it, they do need to add climate changes day/night changes all that. needs off road vehicles as well as more classics and higher end cars as well. BMW sucks, Porsche sucks except maybe two the carrera gt and the cayman. other than that everything else is good

Hey I just wanted to say that I am so excited for this game. I have Test Drive Unlimited for the PC and I downloaded over half the cars people are requesting. Just go to TDU-Central and check out those mods. Its alot better than waiting for this game and buying a game with almost the same purpose. Although… I would like to see this game be in Vegas or San Fran. If it is i am SO BUYING IT!

They should make TDU2 more like a simulation game where you can use all the features in the cars and trucks like using the winch to get unstuck or to pull some one out of a hole i think that would be cool but dont get rid of the reset button just incase.They could also get some ideas from a pc game from russia called UAZ 4X4 RACING check it out on YOUTUBE its the best 4×4 game ive ever seen.

-Traffic density relies on time of day. So rush hour on those long wide highways would be gridlock so you can’t race your Buggati at 400 during peak hour(of course traffic should be able to be shut off just for fun)

- All types of traffic, you should be able to drive hundreds of differnt types of vehicles, cars, trucks, buses, limos, bikes, 4wd, EVERYTHING! Make it the ultimate driving game, yet still focus on the exotic cars like the Current TDU. But I want to be able to drive anything and everything. Use of Pakers, headlights, high beam, fog lights, driving lights, wipers, indicators, Of course they are optional, but at least have them there, make this the game that every vehicle lover would love to play, even though some people would never use half the stuff on the game, just have it there because there is always someone who wants to use it.

They should also improve the PS2 and the PSP versions of the game, and add additional cars and features like Pontiacs, BMWs, Porsches and Ferraris and real life-like people and places on the island of Oahu.

So when is this game gonna come out? How come there is no official website for it… just to let us know they’re doing something with it? TDU was an amazing game, I loved every single aspect about it. But as always there is room for improvements..

1) It should be for all major consoles that can handle it: PC, PS3 and 360.

2) More cars, more bikes. Exotics primarily.

3) REAL music soundtracks. possibly real radio stations?

4)More customistation on your character (sims 2 like customisation) and cars (vinyls etc)

5) Weather, night and day. Rain effects ability to drive on the road.

6) Off-road racing.

7) Better driving movements with bikes.

More race tracks like the airport one on TDU but the real deal.

9) Better club features. And the abilities to give cars and money to other players. Club hang-out where you can actually chat. Set up your own car dealership, people can visit it and purchase cars or sell their cars to you.

I Have played almost every racing game none to man and a few none only to monkeys. Any way this is what i think…

:::In And Out Of Car – No this will reduce the map/area because it takes up too much memory, and why wlak at 7mph when u could drive at 260mph?

:::A Clutch for Manual – Then if you miss you will stall. plus good for wheel spinning at trafic lights

:::SUV’s – Yes because you can get through those anoying police road blocks. (wierd my cadalac sixteen cant?)

:::Plains/Boats – No, grafics will need to be reduced for this to happen.

:::World Travel??? – No way, you would have to have an xbox 360 elite and install 40 expansion packs for this to happen and would probably cost £400 – $580.

:::Vehicle Customization – Yes, but only minor, Unless Tuner car AKA Skyline…

:::Decals – Yes but not too many layers.

this time round i really hope its like every racing game out right now: graphics of midnight club, cars and customization of NFS, physics of forza motorsport 2, weather effects of PGR4, damage of GRID and the map of TDU of course. Im not saying all these games are perfect or the specific aspects listed are perfect. NFS could have many more cars but the select few it has are brilliant like the lexus IS-F, Nissan GTR, lamborghini lp560-4, shelby gt500-KR, every fucking muscle car every made apart from the 1972 ford gran torino. Just try to imagine what the game would be like if it were like this, the best of all racing games put into one beast of a game. to EA, ATARI, ROCKSTAR, MICROSOFT STUDIOS, BIZARRE CREATIONS, CODEMASTERS, EDEN GAMES ETC. i think you should just make the game as most realistic as possible.
rain…better ai….headlights…better crashes…getting in and out of car…..having a virtual Girlfriend…better houses….maybe even pets……if you are going for a realistic game….you should add this. and more of the car stuff of course!

I agree it should be like the sims for cars. You can already buy homes and clothes. Don’t really need the gas idea would rather have more cars. Make the inercity graphics better (make it look like real Hawaii today). I would also like to be able to get out of cars But not steal them. There should be other exotic and expensive cars driving around make it as realistic as posible.

I really like test drive but i think it need some more mustangs and nissans like the new 2010 gt500 or the new gt-r also 2003 mustang and the new corvette zr1. Also to make the car special let us be aput aftermarket part for car but not those regular part custom made part that you put togeter for your car. That all i am asking

One thing that I almost fogot is the dealerships. Once in a while, we all need a car and we can’t get em used. Why not a used car dealership for each car company? Also, there is no need for planes or boats. Its called Test Drive Unlimited. Not Test Fly or Test Float.

To be honest the amount of time it took for TDU to get released on the PC and Atari’s lack of communication and support, I am not holding my breath for TDU2, and how long it will take to be released.

Number 1 priority should be putting all Subaru’s in the game. Followed by tuning and more versatility in general. Let’s face it. They need to keep up with the other competitors.

yes it is me again! i have another suggestion how about making it if you can get out of your car if it is totally messed up like completely damaged or out of fuel or the enjine is broke you can ask if you need a lift like have a notice saying (so and so needs picking up) then one of the online users come and get ion thier car and it lets them view inside the car and outside the car and you automatically get directions on where their house is now would that be the greatest ever idea from darkninjafilms and yes youw will already know my gamertag i have mentioned it in other suggestions on the game and masfer stop being negative if they are not going to make it why has it been confirmed that means if they were not going to make it why is there a website to decide on what should be in the game?

This game needs more customization, such as engine upgrades and paint jobs. One of my favorite parts of racing games is the ability to make my car very unique.

mostly i recon little bugs to be fixed getting out of car should be a no its suposed to be about driving or i can see it becoming another gt auto. my main gripe is perception of speed you find yourself traveling down a road at what feels like 40 to 50 miles an hour and look at the spedo to find your doing 90 to 100 and 200 miles n hour really doesnt feel as fast as it should. also ai trafic seems really fast 90 mph in places by the look of it supose this affects perp of speed too. my fav racing game is race07/gtrevo made by atari and simbin and perp of speed is incredible and ya get a proper buzz outta hitting a corner at speed or keeping it in a straight line under heavy breaking would be great if tdu2 could emulate this without losing the slightly arcadey feel

I totally agree with Mark. I was laughing quite alot in some bits of ur comment i.e. its TDU2 not Grand Designs. By the way david if u make a world-wide game it takes LOADS of memory and programming. e.g. Flight Sim X needs 15GB to install on PC. Just info not an insult.

In Test Drive 2, you should be able to get out of the car like wheelman and also crash the cars with damage.

The police on Test Drive 1 are rubbish and need updating like the police in Grand Theft Auto, Road blocks, popping your tires.

Being able to smash out of the car window.

More options on creating your player, face types, body types like Saint Rows features fat player thin player etc.

The Land scapes on test drive 1 are good,the cars are nice too but not being able to crash the cars lets the game down.

Speed jumps are also needed, and being able to pay business or setup business and get money from the business in order to give you more money to pay stuff.

One more really cool idea, is to be able to rob the cars in the street and respray them which will give you the option of selling the cars on your adding them to your collection.

Instead of just one island, way not make lots of islands for people to drive around.

Can’t wait. They’ll have to have more of the latest supercars (veyron, GTR, reventon, scuderia, LP640 etc) but some more old-school cars aswell (Ferrari F40, F50, Diablo etc). Plus what’s with there being no Porches in TDU (on the 360 anyway)?. Weather plus day/night like in GTA would be awesome. Would be awesome to drive semis and have off-road racing aswell. The cops NEED an update (it’s annoying how all they have to do is pull in front of you at low speed to catch you). More vehicle modification options as well. Not so much performance but more visual (would be awesome if they had wheel/rim shops to browse). Also being able to paint your car’s exterior and interior and accessories (like break calipers) to any colour/combination you like. Mark, May 16, 2009 made some good points. I like the idea of having race circuits to race on and earn money from aswell (drag strip, race track) or just to be able to test your car. I also find that in most races the other cars are too easy. Maybe have difficulty settings for each race? The harder the difficulty the more money you win. Also when you race another driver (offline this is) are you allowed to bet money? Or is this just an online thing. I can’t figure it out.

First off, there does need to be rain/night (and headlights/windshield wipers), but not on Oahu again. They should make it somewhere in Europe, the birthplace of racing like Rome or somewhere in Germany.

I heard that TDU2 was coming out in December sometime. I think this game is going to be great and I think you and everyone at eden games do a great job on making it cause your first one was good so maybe this is gonna be twice as great so keep up the good work, and I also wondering if you’re gonna put any pick-up trucks on it cause I think TDU2 would be great with both cars and trucks and SUVS. TDU2 is about racing illeagally on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. If you want to walk around in a neighborhood, then get The Sims 3 or sumethin (nothing against it).
