Japanese Metal Gear Online Beta Hates Your US IP
Looks like Konami will be blocking people with non-Japanese IP addresses from taking part in the Metal Gear Online beta. According to this little GT blog post, you will need a Japanese IP addresses to be part of the Japanese beta for Metal Gear Online. You really shouldn’t be surprised that they would block IP addresses outside Japan, this has been a long time coming.
“If you have trouble to sign up for the japanese MGO beta (see a blank page when you go to https://id.konami.net/login.do) as explained by shhhoff, then you just have to use a japanese proxy service, since Konami now checks if you’re from Japan.”
