THQ has announced that it will be canceling some upcoming games to "trimming the fat" . As part of an updated financial outlook THQ has cut some of the games like the PlayStation 3 version of Frontlines: Fuel of War and the PlayStation 2 version of Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed. Despite the a killer fiscal third quarter the hot sales of games like MX vs. ATV Untamed and SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 THQ said that "the cost of underperformed and two unannounced games were costing alot more than had expected."
The two unannounced games were scheduled for release in 2010 but IGN reports that THQ has pulled the aleast one of the games and closed the studio behind it. In the financial report today THQ also said it no longer plans to "pursue its Juiced and Stuntman" games. THQ did not say if it plans to sell off or hold it off unit they can pay the cost.
