According to IGN, Nintendo will begin supplying Japanese retailers with Wii demo kiosks on January 26, and the first demo for said units will be Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Over 30 shops throughout Japan will have a new Wii demo kiosk and a demo of Brawl.
Update:
IGN:
Previously, Nintendo refrained from setting up demos at retail due to concerns of waggle-related accidents. Considering that Smash Bros. is played the old fashioned way, Nintendo felt that there wouldn’t be any danger to store patrons.
